Off topic: the boss is still likely male, the female (that sniper I lost the name ATM) in the organization described Vermouth being the "favorite" with jealousy
New theory: Chianti is the Boss' daughter, and she doesn't like it that Vermouth was fooling around with Calvados on the side while having a relationship with the Boss.
CHIANTI! that's her name XD
True dat, but that seemed to increase chances for my "Boss is male" theory

Corollary to new theory: Vermouth is bi.
I was afraid it'll come down to this....
though Chianti doesn't look like a Mama's girl....
p.s. is it me, or BO is sounding more and more like family business ?

I'm not sure if anyone noticed... But Okiya at the end of episode 543 seems to be reading a book in Spanish. Don't know if that has any relevance to anything but.. thought I'd throw that out there if it was looked over. I don't remember what the original manga/volume of the Angelfish Club case was so I don't know how Manga-canonical it is.
It could just be an anime thing, since it seems to suddenly be popular in many anime to use Spanish. Like Bleach. And the DC Jolly Roger movie.

I don't see Okiya reading a book anywhere in that case in the manga.

I don't see any Spanish related to Bourbon Whiskey. It was first made in Bourbon County, Kentucky.
"Well, a child's curiosity and a detective's spirit of inquiry... Do have much in common, after all..." - Tooru Amuro
-Bourbon's specialty is surveillance and information gathering.
-Akemi was under surveillance by the B.O. during a period of time when alive.
-It is possible that at one point Bourbon was assigned the task to watch her and feel in love with Akemi's nature from a far.
-Bourbon is aware of how much Akemi loves Shiho and the great risks she would take to protect her. All due to his possible assigned surveillance of Akemi.
-Bourbon loathes Akai because he blames him from placing Akemi on the path that ultimatly got her killed.
-Bourbon hates Gin and Vodka for killing Akemi and is planning on getting even with them regardless of how it might affect his relationship with the Organization.
-Bourbon has been given the task of gathering information around Beika but has his own agenda.
-Bourbon immediately recognizes Shiho but has no ill intentions towards her and might even feel a need to protect her from a distance for Akemi's memory. Instead he has decided to become a spectator in this little chess match happening in front of him, not really caring about which side wins, only that they dance to his tune until he can carry out his rogue plan.
-Bourbon notices the men that took his love from him at a shopping district and reacts with pleasure as he knows what fate awaits them all.
-Okiya is Bourbon.
- Akai and Okiya will fight on a rooftop that is on fire for Shiho.
Alright, I did not give much thought to this, so everyone punch holes in it for me. Let's see if it holds...that is if someone else hasn't already brought this up.

I brought something like this up once, mangaluva did somewhere else but I can't find it (sorry), and CC did too. Someone else may have somewhere else. Don't worry about it though because multiple people coming up with the same idea independently is a good sign in my book that something is probably worth taking seriously. I'm all for a DC romance that took a trip south.

I read through them and though the share similarities, they are ultimately different. Which means we are on the same path about something but cannot exactly pin point the true outcome of this arc.
I actually hope the conclusion will be something no one could imagine in their wildest dreams. Something to get me excited about the plot again.
