Tbf, a "Ai's Back-story" thing wouldn't be so dangerous since reasonably ooc things wouldn't be taboo to a degree. The real danger is if it's just written poorly.

Take the London's case for example, even Gosho went OOC, and it's acceptable because he's Gosho. So, the moment soemthing on-canon goes OOC, it became poorly written ... most of the time
