You may be right, but do you have any evidence to contradict my theory (namely, that Okiya is simply a new character we have never met before and that one of the other people present in the white/yellow/red-case (like, for example, the arson department leader) is Bourbon or another B-O related person)?

Apart of that, great work you did collecting the evidence. If you find proof now, you may accuse Okiya for being Akai...
If  ;), :D, ;D, ::), :P, :-X, :o or >:D are attached, that paragraph may not be 100% serious. Seriously.

this is an easy one.

Haibara's BO senses went off again in 543, when none of those other people except Subaru were around.

also, although it's still possible that it's a coincidence, the whole thing with conan knowing whereabout okiya lived before hte arson case would be sort of weird if he was just a new character, especially because it was so quickly passed over. If it was meant as some sort of red herring, I would think it would be a little more obvious, but eh.

I think he's the boss of the B.O (it's WAY too far in the series for the boss not to have been introduced in some way

seriously? Gosho said Ai will be surprised (or something like that). would Haibara be truly surprised about him being the boss if she's already thinking he is from the B.O.?
also, why would Conan know his address? Would Conan really say on him "a holmes fan can't be a bad person"?

but maybe he's supposed to be a good person(a CIA/FBI member....) and he'll become close to haibara and conan,until the end,then he reveal he's the Boss...

Okiya is someone who, upon supposedly having his place of residence burned down unexpectedly, instead of disappearing into the background and finding somewhere else to live on his own, first thought of living at Agasa's - and then accepted the option of living next to Agasa.

Well, I think Gosho won't simply repeat the "supposedly bad guy we don't know turns out to be good"-thing. That's why I think he wants us to believe he would and make Okiya a completely new character. Don't forget that the arguments you listed for Okiya being Akai are similar to the ones you could list (before ep. 345 of course) for Jodie being Vermouth. Gosho likes to fool the reader, so the less expected theory (which I think is my one) will turn out to be true.

Err, no. While the evidence for Jodie's connection to black org was obvious, there wasn't any really solid evidence that Jodie was Vermouth. If anything, there was evidence against Jodie being Vermouth (the pictures of pictures for example or Mouri's stolen case files - Araide is in them, but not Jodie). The arguments for Jodie being Vermouth remind me a lot more of the arguments people make for Okiya being Bourbon.

You mean like Akai is really a disguise, and that Okiya Subaru is Akai's true face? That would be crazy twist.

Okay, since this thread is relevant to episode 579, let's discuss new theories after watching recent episodes.
Eh, there might be spoilers, so put them in a box. :D
Spoiler:
I also wanted to add;
Isn't it possible that Okiya triggered Haibara's BO sense because Akai was BO before?
And she just has that feeling.

Okiya Subaru is obviously Gosho Aoyama. And I have fives pieces of proof to back up my claim.

1) Both are Holmes fans.

2) Both wear glasses, Since he can't see without them, and he needed some form of eye based disguise (Much like Conan) Gosho has to always squint to hide his identity, leading it to appear like Okiya's eyes are always closed.

3) The reason Ai feels uncomfortable around him, is because Gosho is in fact the creator of the Black Organization.

4) He would naturally think to live with Agasa after his house burnt down.

5) Gosho Aoyama is 11 letters, Okiya Subaru is 11 letters.
