Any one, sstimson. Any one. At worst you'll just have to turn back
No big deal on such a small island. No use thinking like that after the riddle's been solved. Are you thinking about the BFR?
And about the newest one...

Re: Kogorous Riddle Thread and eworms Deduction Thread
bolded part of your question's the incorrect assumption, because not only is the island so small, it's also mentioned that it's a desert island. So, not a mountainous or foresty area.sstimson wrote: Not finished drawing yet. But the point is seeing three road that all seem to head towards the tower. If it is rocky and lots of trees and not set so you could just follow the lines/roads with your eyes, Then if it still true? And as for the middle road, again if it is rocky, or maybe a mountain road the road that starts in the middle might end up far right. You might also think of it like this: A path go down, another level, and a tiny rocky path goes up, All seem to head towards the tower. Which one do you take?

@eworm - Note the people in the riddle
The first two groups are unlikely to want to protect the TOWER or trap people on the way there BUT the other two is a different story. The Originals, from which the people of the peaceful village are descended, who always tell the truth, and built the tower originally
- The Fakers, from which the thieves come from, who always lie, and are said to have furnished the tower originally
- The Connivers, who you can never be quite sure if they're telling the truth or not, and are said to have always hated the tower
- The Meeklys, who are so insecure that they won't talk if spoken to unless someone from another family has already spoken to you, and are said to worship the tower
We take first #3 - the Connivers. What I want you to notice about them is this - are said to have always hated the tower. This is my question. Would people who hate the tower try to prevent other from getting there, One group people in particular. the Meeklys who "Worship the tower"? Might not the Connivers set traps to prevent the Meeklys from getting to the tower? Yes I know some people can love things to death, but I think the first two groups, the Originals, and the Fakers as TOWER caretakers. Those two groups want others to be able to enjoy the TOWER that a lot of those first two group labor and resources went into. They are likely to also try to keep the route to the tower open so others can get there. It is likely to be a game between them and any who might try to either want the tower to themselves like the Meeklys or Connivers who are the most likely to keep others from the place of their hatred.
That brings us to the Meeklys who worship the TOWER. They are likely to want to set traps to prevent others from getting to their area of worship. They Might have set up this kind of riddle as a test of worthiness to be able to go to their TOWER. They might set death traps to those who fail their test, as they have proven unworthy and as such must not be allowed to enter their Worship grounds. Those who return alive from the wrong ways might have proven themselves worthy for another chance. Note that these death traps as not being on the right path are likely to not be removed from the first two groups. Also to further test those that go on the right path that they are indeed worthy to enter the Worship grounds will set a few traps on the right road that the first groups try to keep safe.
So Eworm if I am right, if you pick the wrong path, you miht not make it back to try the right one, and even if you choose the right path, You should take a member from either one of the first groups if you want to be sure you make it there alive.
now for you Akonyl See this
@Akonyl - Desert Island. Yes It is a Wikipedia article, However it still rings true. See these as well
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/desert+island
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/desert+island
http://www.macmillandictionary.com/dictionary/british/desert-island
By those defintions make you idea of a non forest flat lsland unlikely. First factor is the tropics. This area of the climate is an area where a lot of rain falls so it would not be a desert like the barren region. Second most islands are in oceans. They start on the ocean floor and go up to reach the ocean surface. The atolls are unlikely to be able to built such a nice tower on. That leaves the Volcanic. By their very nature, these island will have mountains. And sine they are in the tropics are very likely to have trees.
One final note on desert islands, the Devon Island has a climate that would be desert like, but it contains several small mountain ranges.

Re: Kogorous Riddle Thread and eworms Deduction Thread
Ok, this looks not boring. I'll try to solve red's riddle.
My question to red: Is the sentence part of a poem or song?
BTW I am new to these forums, can I post a puzzle? whatever:
Under certain conditions these equations are correct:
8-6=2
8+6=2
7+6=?
Find ?
Hint: Hand

@ sstimson - I don't get why you're so stubborn about reviving the already solved riddle. If you have time to think about that, concentrate on the Brain-Frying Riddle #4 or the red's riddle. Or both. The correct answer to Akonyl's riddle was "Just go where you see the tower is". Get over it!
@ Victorique - I also watch Gosick
However, the rules of the thread state that there can be only one riddle going at the time - only exceptions being my Brain-Frying Riddles and Kogorou's Borner Cases. So let's say your riddle is on-hold for now, and we'll go back to it after a) you solved the red's one, or b) red's isn't solved by anybody. Okay?
Anyway, welcome to the thread. It would be an honor to have Gray Wolf/Golden Fairy participate in the solving of my Brain-Frying Riddle #4 ;)

Re: Kogorous Riddle Thread and eworms Deduction Thread
@Vq Base 5?
Hand has five fingers numbered 0-4
so eight lands on finger 3
Removing six lands on finger 2
Starting on finger 3 ( see above )
adding six lands on finger 2
Seven starts on finger 2
adding six lands on finger 3
so is the answer 3?
@Eworm, do not worry about your riddle. I'm about done with my KILLER answer.
By the way I am not being "stuborn'. I just having fun using my imagination to play what if using the riddle text and trying to find the hidden things that are in the riddle. It can be fun. Try it sometime.
It can also at times be fun to "be stubborn"
