Hey there, awesome DCTP community!

I feel it's somewhat polite to introduce myself before I start posting anything anywhere else. Hence, here is my modest introduction:

I used to be a big fan of DC a while back; big enough that I reached the point of timing a few episodes. Now let me clarify that. By 'a while back' I mean about three  years ago, with which it wouldn't come as a surprise to learn that the fansub I used to work with was AConan. Remember those days? Probably not. Also, by 'a few episodes' I mean two episodes. But hey, at least I gave my two cents to the DC community.
Now I'm trying to get back on track, watching all the, oh I don't know, 300 episodes I missed? And I thought it would make the whole experience a bit more enjoyable.
Regarding myself, I'm currently an undergrad physics major/english minor in University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. I have no fine arts abilities whatsoever, which means that I won't be one of those people who I fully envy that post their amazing drawing in the Fan Works section. I do enjoy reading and writing a lot, but I doubt that can be applied to anime.
That's about it for myself. I hope I can chill at this forums for a while.

I tend to be a lurking lurker and I suppose now is a good time as any to introduce myself.

I first watched Case Closed when Cartoon Network still broadcasted the series in like 2004. Once they ceased doing so I forgot about it until my younger sister started reading the manga and then watching the show back in February of this year. Now we're nearly caught up and I've finally finished compiling all the Detective Conan shows on my computer. Thank heavens, since I was pretty tired of having my computer on constantly and slowing down the internet with my heavy downloading. Saving 570 episodes, magic files, OVA and all the movies is no mean feat. I thank DCTP for their continued efforts to provide quality fansubs for this beloved series.

I'm not a huge anime fan. Compared to most, my exposure to it is relatively limited and often times I am put off by the eccentricity that is anime, but perhaps that is only because I haven't seen many. In general, I find that there is something very strange and very scary, but also very brilliant about the Japanese and, of course, I mean that in no insulting way.

There is nothing very exciting about me to share. I am a girl. I have many interests and my pursuit of them is often fleeting. But I have always been fond of reading and writing. I enjoy zombies and gaming, action movies and comedies, swords and helium filled balloons. I am something of a hopeless (useless) romantic.

I am fond of books like Harry Potter, The Little Prince, The Madman, The Last Unicorn, The Chronicles of Narnia, Garth Nix's The Abhorsen Series, Paolini's Inheritence Series and a bunch of others.

I watch shows like Pysch, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Leverage, Dexter and Glee and of course Detective Conan; and movies like The Princess Bride, My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music and Studio Ghibli stuff.

It will be a pleasure to be part of this community and I hope to be able to contribute something to it.

I think he meant that moving is the wrong word for it? Because moving is like, running here and there XD. Maybe animated would be a better choice .
