The through crossed my mind as well but I can't think of anything especially good. With his foreign status he already has a pretty good way of protecting himself.pofa wrote:What did you have in mind? He should be able to knock him over the head and forcibly take a DNA sample? So I've been thinking, how about Hakuba gains an additional ability in relation to Kaitou Kid?
I think he should have some kind of ability related to his watch fetish.
The only other thing I could think of was that Hakuba could be given the ability to arrest, but only Kaitou Kid. He can't arrest any of the BO. It would give Kid another incentive to never give out his identity. Hakuba would have to arrest him on the spot if he ever found out somehow. *shrug*

I personally think we need more of a reason to arrest kid like have who arrests him get a extra investigation every night or their votes count as 2 votes instead of 1.

true, having some incentive to turn him in would probably be good, otherwise you can just say stuff like "oh and I really love roses and white suits... nudge nudge wink wink"Xcommando wrote: I personally think we need more of a reason to arrest kid like have who arrests him get a extra investigation every night or their votes count as 2 votes instead of 1.
it can't be too good though or kid might get himself caught just for the good of the town >_>

How about after Kaitou is arrested the town party's all night and no one can use their night action as they are at the party, but they still lynch in the morning.

This is what I was thinking myself. Something to give the player in the role of Hakuba a reason to seek out which player is Kid. But the problem I see is, if Kid is part of the town, Hakuba would be doing more damage than good by arresting him. Hakuba has never caught Kid, so perhaps instead of being a standard arrest, it could be something in between?Sakina wrote:The through crossed my mind as well but I can't think of anything especially good. For example, the role of Hakuba only gets one use of his arrest ability and it can only be used on KID. They would PM the host with their choice and if assumed wrong, it obviously fails and the person they tried to arrest learns which player is Hakuba. So they have to be certain of their choice or risk giving the B.O. free information. If the person was correct, all that happens is that KID is forced to change into a different role(only from the non activate ones)?(Destroying KID's current strategy..but if KID's part of the town..this also hurts the town. I guess it has to be something that doesn't punish the town but doesn't let KID give himself up to help the town.)

Yea, that's why I haven't talked about adding something until now. There's really no need for it.TheBlind wrote:Akonyl wrote: Oh Hakuba-kun, you know not of my love for Shuuy

As for the existing rule that you must arrest Kid if you find out his identity... it's more of an honor code at the moment. However if I find out that you're a cop and you know his identity... there will be consequences. You'll be stripped of policemanship or something.
Heh, we've made this game much more complicated by adding so many new roles... but it makes it fun!

Re: Mafia Mafia Mafia! Pt. 2! (Game 4: Day 3)
the only problem with this is that the only way for it to be a "good" ability is if you trust a player but they don't trust you, so you can arrest them wrongly and get your identity revealed to them, proving your trustowrthiness (as hakuba can't be vermouth, though he could be a lover), otherwise it's nothing but detrimental.TheBlind wrote: This is what I was thinking myself. Maybe have a special stipulation that if Hakuba arrests Kid, he's automatically one of the "winners" of the game at the end even if he's dead, and Kid automatically loses even if he's alive at the end and the town wins

So yeah, Hakuba screws the town, but it doesn't matter because he wins, and he doesn't care about anyone else!

KID main Purpose is to help so if he lost the game if been cough that will break the game ( Imho)
so what if he was arrested, he will be put under LABEL " STUPID THIEF " how abot that....
so whether he win or lose his pride will crumble... (that will motivate him to keep his identity as asecret)
because if so much conflict among the townies ... The BO will Freely make their way....
again .. this just my own idea.. (the fact i haven't played before .... make me still kind of noobs right??)

I think newb is a better spelling in this occasion than noob they both sound the same but there is a deference between newb, noob, and nub. LOL I'm surprised that so little people actual now the deference, that it almost no longer matters.xpon wrote: KID main Purpose is to help so if he lost the game if been cough that will break the game ( Imho)

newb is short for "new bee" and its easy to see what that means.
noob is someone that's been playing but doesn't know what their doing.
nub is just a complete retard.

New bee? I've never heard of that. I think you're thinking of 'newbie' which is an alternate form of 'newb' which is a new player.xpon wrote:Okay................. i prefer New Bee ha ha haXcommando wrote:I think newb is a better spelling in this occasion than noob they both sound the same but there is a deference between newb, noob, and nub. And no, protectors like Ran and Makoto can't protect themselves.

Re: Mafia Mafia Mafia! Pt. 2! (Game 4: Day 3)
End Day 3
Town wins!
The village, after witnessing the grotesque murder of Kuroba Kaito and the connected suicide of Akai Shuuichi, is very depressed. Many of them lock themselves in their homes and refuse to go anywhere near the police station. That place is cursed, they say. As a result of this fear, very few actually take action against the Black Organization threat. In fact it almost seems as if the Organization already won through sheer intimidation. They weren't afraid to kill and they fought dirty.
There was, though, a select few who knew that something had to be done. They somehow formed a makeshift group to replace the charismatic leaders from early on in the killings. Agreeing on the most suspicious person around, they hunted him down and gave him a quiet death. They weren't about to stoop to his level and brutally decapitate him. Commi-Ninja was hung in the backyard of his own home. The long silver hair hidden in his hat made his identity as Gin obvious, especially since Agasa was there to identify him. He was buried without a ceremony in the same backyard in which he was hung with only a rock to mark his burial place. Anyone passing by would wonder why a white top hat and a black cap adorned a certain stone in the garden but nobody ever bothered to ask.

That was probably the most fun I had playing this game in a long time.
TheBlind, you are most certainly a worthy opponent.
Beastly, I considered your plan, but I figured it would be far too transparent.
