I don't think it's stalemated that long--it's only been one day. I'm interested to see what Akonyl thinks will be proven tomorrow, though. Hopefully whatever it is will help us band together on a lynching tomorrow. Callid's spirit cries out for vengeance, after all.

I'm curious as well.  I'd also like to know what reason Akonyl has for accusing me of being in the Black Organization.

I'd like to make this clear because yall are somewhat misconstruing what I'm saying.

What I'm saying is that either Holmes or Commi-Ninja killed Callid, only one of them. However, both of them could be in the BO by chance, but I know nothing about that, just that one of them/you killed Callid. And if my attempt to take care of Holmes goes awry, then it means that Commi-Ninja did it.

But this could apply to many people, couldn't it?  What I want to know is why I'm the one being pointed out here.

Day 2


"Yes, yes, I'll see you tonight."
"No, don't do that, just bring what I told you to."
"Yes, good bye, I'll see you soon."

With a click, the line was dead.  A shadowy figure sighs and and looks down at the phone now thrown haphazardly across the room.  They had just finished a phone call with a friend of their.  Needless to say they were somewhat difficult to deal with.  Suddenly, a sound outside put them on alert.  Getting to their feet quickly, the figure peeked around the curtain but saw nothing.  They had chosen this house because of its ideal location and its magnificent view.  It wasn't beautiful in any way, but you could see for a full mile down the street and the whole yard was visible from the inside.  It also had several escape routes handy.  They turned away from the window and froze.  Only from this angle was the listening device on the top of the ceiling fan visible.  

The silhouette swears and lunges for the cell phone that they'd left unattended but the police were faster.  Two of them situated themselves in front of the figure, cutting them off from their phone.  The figure tries to charge right through and manages to fight the two off (apparently they have combat experience).  Just as they're about to grab the item, their arms are yanked back and handcuffed together by one of the police officers.  The officer leans in and whispers, "I'm sorry Dave, I can't let you do that."  The figure, now seen to be Holmes, groans.  Great, humor during their arrest.  

The noise was heard by some of the neighbors and they begin to crowd around as Holmes is taken away in a cop car.  A few of them hear the proud policeman talking to the now arrested criminal.  "Holmes, you are under arrest for the murder of Callid."

Because of the commotion outside of Holmes' house that night, the entire town is up and buzzing early that morning.  Everybody's phone is ringing off the hook as neighbors gossip about the latest news.  Finally, they're getting somewhere!  However, there is one phone that is never answered.  Not long after the sun has risen, the body of one Conia is found floating in the river with a bullet to their head.  According to the doctor called to the scene, he hadn't been dead long.  In fact it probably happened sometime around when Holmes was arrested.  It isn't hard to identify the body, the dark skin and hat make it obvious that the deceased is meitantei Hattori Heiji.




Ah!  No!  You killed Heiji!  How could you!

On the other hand, I got to write the very first arrest scene.  Yay!  It was quite fun to write.  So it's time for the lynching again!  Who's going to die this time?
