Really, the GM role only got overly complicated with the addition of Matsuda.

Take out Matsuda and the ability to switch sides, and you don't lose much as far as actual gameplay but it'll save stress on the GM.

Nope, never.    I've led roleplay threads a few times but never something like this.

Watching drunk people is a fun past time.  We've never played this game at parties though... though back in middle school we did do something similar for a friend's birthday party.  It was a mystery party and we were all given roles and we came dressed as those roles and we had to figure out who-dun-it.  But unlike Mafia we didn't know whether we were guilty or not.  >.>  Not surprisingly, I was the culprit.    Fun times... fun times...

the only thing hard about matsuda is the same thing that's hard about GMing multiple times, coming up with new ideas eventually gets tiresome.

yep. I was also asked to use snakes, but I'd forgotten to write the thing up so I didn't bother putting them in.
