It flawlessly blends great fights with weird, yet emotional and well done characters and is one of the greatest adventures in the history of animated fiction (especially considering its improving quality over the years)?

So I fail or my opinion fails just because I don't agree with you? Wow.

One important realization that DC has continuously shown over the years is that "The end does not justify the means". Murder is still murder no matter how "seemingly" good your intentions are.

I highly agree on this statement. Oda really did good on foreshadowing a lot of events. Currently, the story is making a lot of sense. Before, OP arcs appear to be independent of each other but the events in Sabaody Archipelago and Impel Down really tied things up..

Maybe not a first time realization thing but for me the whole concept is emphasized by DC... Also different people also have different rationalizations...

Different people have different perspective. I may have seen that on DC but not in your case. (I just stated what I saw in DC and I wasn't trying to convince anyone)

> I may have also seen how Oe Kintaro from Golden Boy persevere but others may have seen him only as a crazy genius.
> I may have seen Naruto as a boy wanting to be accepted by society but others may have seen him only as an emo kid.
> I may have seen the importance of self belief in Ayumu Narumi of Spiral but others may not be able to relate to that.
> Others could have seen the deeper layers of Death Note but I could have seen it only that the theme was absolute power corrupts.
> And there's the famous Law of Equivalent Trade of Full Metal Alchemist but not everyone would pay attention to that.
> The Conspiracy theory of Welcome to the NHK could have gotten into my nerves but it might mean nothing to others

If it would be common sense, then people wouldn't murder in the first place. (besides maybe by accident when you push someone out of anger)

But in DC they also try to show, that they don't just want to find out the murderer, but that they also want this murderer to see his fault and to atone for it with the right punishment (jail). Thus they don't want the murderers to do suicide and running away from their responsibility.

Since little Kids are also watching DC, they get to know such values. They also see that the murderers will be caught int the end and that with every victim, there are also people that are mourning after them. (so little kids, don't go around and kill people :p)
