It's possible she wants to see if Conan can prevent the crimes while knowing nothing beforehand to make herself feel good about Amanda's or Kohji's death. Maybe she wants to keep playing these scenarios over and over again to make a point out of it to herself.
I kinda doubt that. Conan is a smart kid, but just kid. Therefore she shouldn't expect him to be as good as an abult detective. Unless she knows who he really is, then she already should be aware that he can help her solving that particular case, and even if not, he surely will be able to deduce something what the police didn't yet. Plus, that case was from 17 years ago, so many traces are already lost, thereofre it is best to assume that she wants someone just to help her solving that case, not to solve it because at this point it might be unsolvable.
Also, not related to You, but I doubt that Rumi is Asaka or any other bodyguard. The case was 17 years ago, so back then she was 20. Do You think that anybody could hire so young person as a bodyguard? Let alone a bodyguard of a rich person with connections to FBI, CIA and the Organization? I doubt. I think Rumi is Kouji's relative like an unknown sister or something of that sort.

Also, Did anyone stress the fact that as to why did she needed to bring extra cups and plates, I mean, If she was living in her house for sometime, she should know people can/would come to meet her, and that she needs to have extra utensils in her home. The fact she didn't,makes me think that she is using that house temporarily.
Well.. she's their teacher for some time, and she knows that the DB do not let Conan be alone, and go whenever he goes. Therefore it was natural to assume that they also won't let Conan going alone to her even if Conan would beg them to allow him.
But she took him to her houese for various reasons. One of them might be to check how he will react if the murder attempt will really happen (there still were chances that it won't), but the other was the receipt he found. Rumi intentionally left it in a place where Conan could find it, so maybe her sole reason to bring him home was to let him know that something is going on with her. The murder was just an extra unplanned attraction.

Though, yes, from the looks of it, she sure is trained in some sort of combat arts, etc. But what if she was like Ran. that she also, learnt judo,karate,tae-kwon-do in her school or did continue to a certain level.
I doubt so, because Rumi appears to be super pro at fighting. Ran no matter how good she could be at fighting, she would be unable to mask her fighting skills with clumsiness. Rumi can do that which means she underwent some special training.

Well I would and I'm not a bad person.
