Re: (Spoilers) Postcard and Animal Crossings hints/ spoilers
I think it won't come close to movie 20 but I see it doing something around movie 18 or movie 19 in terms of gross which will still be fine.

That's incorrect. If you look at the 6-7 months leading to the film, you'll see that they had Kid appear quite a lot in order to hype up the movie. To name a few of his appearances:eros1607 wrote:No Akai, no BO, no Kid. I doubt that this movie is amazing enough to break office records. Movie 19 did it because Kid hadn't appeared for a while. Heiji and Kazuha appear in DC quire frequently.k11chi wrote:The next movie will break box office records.
Conan anime: 2 Kid remasters right before the movie
Conan manga: When Gosho went to his hiatus, they chose specifically to reprint Kaito Kid's first case in Conan.
Magic Kaito manga: Gosho wrote the Midnight Crow chapters
And most importantly, the MK anime: Magic Kaito got an anime running from October until the end of March at the timeslot right before Conan's anime.

Yes, those months were time when people already knew Kid would be in the movie and all that stuff was building the hype. Like suggested above that there will probably be some more Heiji cases in future to build hype.Kor wrote:That's incorrect. I wonder if this will backfire or not. Because in Kid cases Kid was one of the main roles with Conan. Heiji since always played second fiddle, so instead of building the hype, the episodes with him might make the people tired of him. Especially that unlike Kid he never been a brillant character, and his mistakes sometimes were really annoying.MoonRaven wrote:Yes, those months were time when people already knew Kid would be in the movie and all that stuff was building the hype. I am mainly following the manga (although I enjoy the anime too) so I may not know that. Sorry for false information.Kor wrote:That's incorrect. By the way, considering Heiji's cases are among the best cases of DC, I think that too much Heiji's appearance like Kid may have reverse effects because I'm sure DC movie's mysteries are nowhere close to Heiji cases which are usually very complex and intriguing.

It'll do well, undoubtedly, but for it to do as well as Movie 20? Movie 20 made it onto the 100 highest grossing Japanese films list. It crushed Movie 19, which, itself, used to be DC's highest grossing film.k11chi wrote:Yes but the series is a triangle of the manga, movies and the TV series that support each other. It's up to Gosho now to try to get people interested in seeing the movie with the next Heiji cases.eros1607 wrote:No Akai, no BO, no Kid. Movie 21 will probably, at least, do as well as Movie 17, I'd say.
Some would say this, instead:Nemomon wrote:...the episodes with him might make the people tired of him. Especially that unlike Kid he never been a brillant character, and his mistakes sometimes were really annoying.
After all, there are Heiji fans who don't care for Kaito. They'd probably point to how the Bourbon arc Kid cases—and any of them after Miraculous Mid-Air Walk (File 453–File 456/Episode 356), probably—and say that what they didn't care for, or even liked, with the first Kid cases in DC, has become dislike or apathy, with the recent Kid cases. Then, they'd point to the Heiji cases of the Bourbon arc and the ones in the Rum arc and call them better than the Kid ones we've had....the episodes with him might make the people tired of him. Especially that unlike Heiji, Kid has never been a brilliant character...

Because as everyone knows, when you don't remember someone well enough, you just picture them a bit more naked than they actually were :Vrfsuki wrote:
I think readers can understand that Conan's memory was still messed up in File 969, which could explain why Shukichi in Conan's first memory's fragments was too young and Mary didn't wear the black shirt outside her bikini either.
As a reader, what I can understand is that Gosho at the time may have screwed up with the art and/or immediately forgot how he drew stuff just a few files before. I'm not obligated as a reader to excuse every little mistake Gosho makes and try to find a contrived justification for it in the narrative. (or in other words, I'm not obligated to fanwank)

It's really how small he looks (as well as him lacking his hoodie), compared to Mary (as well as her lacking the black shirt), that needs fixing in the volume release.

That's what I thought too. It's just that I'm tired of reading all the complaints about his hair. Guess I have to fight the fandom nowWakarimashita wrote:
