In Shinichi's Childhood Adventure a long time ago, when kid Shinichi was solving a riddle put to him by Toichi Kuroba. Shinichi took the riddle to his father. Yusaku replied that they should go to the ocean some time around Golden Week, which was a clue that Shinichi needed to go to the Haido Port (which is at the ocean). That case also happened 10 years ago. If it happened before the current flashback, then maybe Yusaku was being serious about his comment.
