Kogoro's violence has been downtoned in recent years anyway. It's a bit sad cause I thought it was pretty funny most of the time and one needs not get offended by a fictional kid getting hit. He'll be fine.

Yeah, everything—except his lazy idiocy—has been toned down,including even being used to solve the case.

There's one more question that desperately needs answering:

Kogoro hasn't really done anything like he used to, in the early years, in quite some time—again, his already small involvement in the story has been decreased, even more.

My point is that Kogoro would never even think of giving Ran a frigging black eye! I was caught off guard by Mary actually giving Shuichi one. A comedic head bulge that goes away in two seconds is one thing, but giving your adult son a black eye? Kogoro's got quite a few flaws, but resorting to getting in "brawls" with his own flesh and blood is not one of them.

Uh, "every chance they get?" "Hate?" I'm gonna call disproportionate reaction on that.

If we're going to be fair about this, it isn't usually considered as big a deal for a mother to hit her adult son than for a father to hit his adult daughter. The mother's blow wouldn't be as strong, and the adult son can "take it like a man".

I wouldn't have posted the link to the 972 spoiler pics, though, had I known that was a ban-worthy offense... because wasn't a tieba baidu link to 971's spoiler pics posted on that cbox, back before the actual file came out (and it's still up, hence why I went and did it)? I take it I did something the user who posted 971's spoiler pics (Black Demon from DCW) didn't when I put the link to the spoiler pics for 972.

Again, apologies for causing any irritation/exasperation/annoyance with this.

To be completely fair, I didn't ban you (for 30 days mind you) simply for that one link. I banned you because throughout last month you left various of links to places we just don't don't allow (such as a specific blog that contains pretty much the entirety of the Japanese file). And I get tired of cleaning that up.
Reason why those 971 baidu pics aren't an issue as much as the 972 pics - excess. There's a pretty big difference between giving a link to a small part of the file, to giving a link to the lion's share of the file.
