About mary's expression it surperised me a bit too at first but this proves that she is not that cold confident character just like haibara .. first time haibara was introduced she gave such an aurora too but not far we knew she isn't like she seems at all I think Mary's personality still keeps a lot for us to discover
the most important thing I am looking forward too is her interaction with shuu I really can't wait to see akai in front of his shrunken strong mother

The question about who Shuichi/Subaru and Masumi received their calls from while Vermouth called Rei/Tooru/Bourbon is what they subject of their conversation was. Why would Shukichi or Mary call Masumi, right then? Why would James call Shuichi/Subaru, right then? Maybe Gosho just wanted to show that one of them was listening to Vermouth, and that was it, like you said... but I'd prefer an explanation.
One of the things Shinichi's/Conan's noticed about Shiho/Ai is this—"she's not as tough as she looks" (File 341/Episode 277). Because of all she's been through, she puts up a façade.
Mary must've been shocked that he was able to deduce her hiding place. After all, this is only their second encounter (he didn't even think about her during the Pool case (903–905/787–788)), and I don't think she just up and agrees when Masumi tells her about how smart he is—she'd want to see it for herself (it looks like she's trying to solve the case, herself, here—she'd want to see if he's on a similar level). We don't know what she said to Masumi after climbing up (or should I say Majoring/Snaking her way up ), or what Masumi said to her just after Shinichi/Conan walked away. She's the mother of Shuichi Akai—the cold, confident character of DC—to say she's not like that (especially given her attitude, since her debut) is a bit too soon.

you are right I don't have a different opinion about this "especially after seeing her hiding in such place and her jumping up she was a completely young feminine version of shuuichi " what I meant by her resemblance to haibara and that she is not cold as she seems just she actually has her own fears and worries even akai is like this he keeps his coldness and confidness from outside but I doubt it that he is like this from inside

Perhaps her coughing is why he made to take a photo... though one wonders how he didn't see that string attached to the bottom of one of those bars.
A flash is not shown, and a camera shutter noise is not shown (written manga SFX, I mean), so it's up in the air, but the implication is that he didn't.

I uploaded and received a Sunday 17 manuscript safety at 6 a.m.! It will be posted in the second half of this month. I knew the story in the meeting, but I was very surprised by the character's big action. Please look forward to it! (Secret Talk, March 1st)
While the translations are different, the same kanji is used, so its most likely going to be Mary.
I hope that I can find someway to contribute to the community even if it's just random crack theories and looking things up for people who can't find the information they need.
(Sera & Kogoro, after Kogoro explains what's happened)
Sera: "That asides... Do you have any idea of who the culprit is?"
Kogoro: "Looks like the guy met with someone else before me so that's gotta be the culprit... Well. Isn't it someone related to the case of 17 years ago? Hotta Gaito apparently said he was going to summon the soul of Haneda Kouji, who was killed in that case..."
Sera: "H-Haneda..."
MG: "Kouji!"
Sera: "S-so... Did that detective tell you anything 'bout that case?"
Kogoro: "No... We hadn't met yet..."
Conan: "What? Do you know about that "Haneda"?"
Sera: "Y-yeah... He was a shogi player, wasn't he?
(Kogoro says the police will come investigate this room so asks Sera to let them check it)
Sera: "Gotcha... I'm showing off my undies so wait a lil while..."
(When Sera opens the door again Conan thinks that the best place to hide is the veranda so he rushes there. After he sees the TV director and the car he takes photos of that)
Conan (thinking): "Just in case... Let's take a photo of the veranda's underside too..."
(MG sees the phone)
Sera: "Conan - kun! Kogoro - san's calling for you!"
(Looks like Kogoro has finished searching the room)
Conan: "Thanks for inviting me!"
(Conan goes back to the room WITHOUT having taken the photo. Once Sera's alone...)
Sera: "So? Isn't it just like I told you? He's very sharp, isn't he?"
(MG climbs back into the balcony)
MG: "That asides, hurry it up and solve the case! If the police search this room they'll figure out my existance! Before THEY get wind of info about Haneda Kouji's murder case and come here! * cough* * cough*"
(Sera leaves and MG spots the bowtie)
MG (thinking): "A bowtie?"
(During the investigation: when Takagi finds some salt stuck to his hand, Sera starts talking about what they've done insofar again)
Conan: "Sera - neechan... Looks like you're explaining the details to someone else..."
Sera: "That's not it! I'm the type to ask myself a lot of times to build up my ideas! You didn't know?"
(MG listens to what Sera and the others talk about through Sera's phone)
(A while later - Sera asks about the case as a whole again. Conan explains it in a very easy manner.)
Conan: "So? Was that easier to understand for that "someone else"?"
Sera: "Will you tell me what do you mean by "someone else"?"
(After finding out that something had been stuck below the veranda above the victim's room veranda)
Sera: "Well. It's pretty obvious that... Furuki's the culprit yet..."

It's very probable that Mary is the character being referred to, in the third one.
