Figures. Guess we'll get the big update of the website with some original art once the title is announced in the SS on December 2nd, alongside Gosho's hand-drawn poster.

I am so excited about this movie. Bytheway, is it the last franchise?

The last in the franchise you mean ?

Most likely no. Don't expect the movies to end anytime soon.

I have a strange memory of a thread where we talked about the endless number of Conan movies. I don't remember if it was the movie sequel thread or something else, but I know we had talked about movie 100+. Too long ago for me to remember much more than that.

(Also, I might have squealed just a little bit when Akai showed up in the promo. Just a little bit.)

I might wake up early and go running. I also might wake up and win the lottery. The odds are about the same.

I can;t remember well, but there's an article that says it will be the last. Well, i'm agreeing with you considering the fact that the movies were anticipated by many /i think/ so it won't end soon :3

Many years ago at DCW's movie thread was said that movie 18 would have been last. This was around the time of Quater of Silence

It's not so much a matter of anticipation but a matter of money.

Posting this from The Red Thread:
Spoiler:
SPOILERS from Shonen Sunday #1 (Dec 2)
Attention: UNCONFIRMED Spoilers: the following post is an attempt of ours to gather as many info from Japanese and Chinese bloggers as possible on the 20th Conan movie. Part of this info may be inaccurate/incorrect and need recheck when official info is available.
Next Bullets/Surprises revealed:
06/20: Aoyama's poster and movie title
Movie title: 「純黒の悪夢」 [Temporary/Automatic translation: Pure black of nightmare]
Additionally, this could be the staff involved in this year's movie:
Author: Gosho Aoyama
Director, Screenplay: Kobun Shizuno
Screenplay coop: Kazunari Kouchi
Music: Katsuo Ohno
07/20: "Mysterious assassinations are happening worldwide!! Is it related to a spy in the police department!? In the 20th top secret clip to be released next weekend, there are assassinations worldwide, and a scene of a spy who has infiltrated the Japan police accessing classified data!! In the contents of the classified data...
Amuro Tooru, who is rushing to stop it from being taken...! And Akai Shuuichi of the FBI!! The members of the BO are starting to move out in secret!! Danger like never before draws near to Conan!!" (Translation by presumenothing)
List of undercover agents inside the Black Org:
Affiliation - Code name - Alias - Real name:
MI6 - Stout - Unknown - Unknown
CSIS - Riesling - Unknown - (見切れ)
BDN - Aquavit - Unknown - (見切れ)
FBI - Rye - Moroboshi Dai - Akai Shuichi
CIA - Kir - Mizunashi Rena [Hondo Hidemi]
[PSB] - [Bourbon] - Amuro Tooru - [Furuya Rei]
[Note: the original source reports a (見切れ) on some data. We replaced it with known data [in brackets] where possible. - (見切れ) meaning "unreadable"]
My own thoughts (which I posted on The Red Thread—just copying them over to here):
Spoiler:
The CSIS is the Canadian Security Intelligence Service, and the BDN is the Bundesnachrichtendienst, a.k.a. the Federal Intelligence Service of Germany.

The CSIS agent has a codename based on a German alcohol, actually. Would've been something if the BDN agent had had the codename of a Canadian alcohol (like Caesar, as in the Caesar cocktail).

As for genders, the CSIS agent may be female (Riesling—fermented beverage (wine)) and the BDN agent may be male (Aquavit/Akvavit—distilled beverage), if the naming pattern holds, with fortified wines and wines derived from fermentation being female codenames and distilled beverages being male codenames.

Stout is a beer—beer is a fermented alcoholic beverage, placing it in the same category as wine. This could mean that the MI6 agent infiltrating the Organization is female.

If we could fly out of that window hand in hand, hover over this great city, gently remove the roofs, and and peep in at the queer things which are going on, the strange coincidences, the plannings, the cross-purposes, the wonderful chains of events, working through generations, and leading to the most outre results, it would make all fiction with its conventionalities and foreseen conclusions most stale and unprofitable.”

I have a feeling that this MI6 agent is going to be a recurring character from earlier movies maybe.

Btw, BDN is most likely a typo in the original post, as the official abbreviation of the Bundesnachrichtendienst is BND.

Spoiler:
Yes, it is a typo—the wikipedia page refers to the Federal Intelligence Service as the BND many times. BND, by the way, is a signals intelligence agency (SIGINT... like the Metal Gear character ;)), and the CSIS is Canada's foreign intelligence agency.

Any ideas as to who?

So, the title is "純黒の悪夢"

And here's the poster by Gosho from Baidu. It's...quite something.

Spoiler:
With all the fan posters done, they got Shinichi/Conan, Shuichi, Rei/Tooru and Gin being in it right... but Shinichi/Conan on a flaming horse? Nope.

Upon seeing this, my first thought was of:

It turned out that Megure was correct that Conan is a shinigami. He just didn't know what sort of shinigami he is, but now he found this out - Conan is a Horseman of the Apocalypse - Death.

Or, perhaps, it is death that attracts him, not the other way around. ;)
