Okay, now I think I'm actually going to enjoy this movie. But I'm not letting the hype get too high this time just in case. Hopefully they won't pull what they did for 13 where we got overhyped about Gin finding out about Conan and then that never happened.

But in all seriousness, this teaser is awesome. And maybe Rum will get revealed in April in the manga, too? The Scarlet arc came out around the same time as 18, so why not? (I can dream, can't I?) XD

To be fair, people called that scene being a dream sequence.

Because they realized that there was no way such a significant event would happen in a non-canon movie, and that a trailer is an advertisement meant to get people into the theater/to watch the film?

The only way it could've actually happened was if each movie allowed for the possibility of a massive deviation from canon.

Yeah, I noticed that it was reused art, but I think it's probably even older than the Kindaichi crossover.
