"Welcome, welcome!" a person says, face obscured by a black mask. He looks around. "Only sixteen of you showed up? That's disappointing. Oh well, I guess we'll have to make do.
"I'm sure you're all wondering why you've been asked to come here, and how we know exactly who you are, but I don't feel like answering those questions, so we're just going to skip to the important part.
"This building is a kind of maze. In most rooms, you will have a choice to make or a task to complete. Whichever choice you make will decide your path. Keep in mind that once you have made your decision, there is no going back. Full disclosure: we have cameras set up everywhere, and can - and
will - track your movements.
"There is also an electronic board set up in each of the main rooms so that you can make sure everyone has arrived in the room before you proceed." He points up to a large board with a glowing, red
16 written on it. "The number of participants in the room must match the number showing on the board before you can proceed out of that room, so you can't get ahead of each other too much.
"Behind me, I'm sure you can all see a pair of doors. This is your first decision. Which will it be?"
And before he can answer any questions, the man... fades out of existence?
Baffled, Raiden says, "Where the hell did he just disappear to?!"
darkest absol moves over to inspect the spot where the man was standing. "Nothing here. Was he a hologram?"
"This is ridiculous," miyano_shiho says, getting angry. "I'm out of here."
She walks back to the door they came in through, cinnamoroll following close behind, apparently in agreement, but once they reach it, pulling on the handle shows that the door is locked and they can't leave.
"Now, now, now," a voice says suddenly, coming over a speaker. "I told you: once you make a decision, there is no going back. Your first decision was to show up here. You can't change your mind now."
"You can't just lock us up in here," Henry Gordan shouts. "This is against the law!"
"You'll just have to find your way out, then, won't you?" the voice answers mockingly. "So, choose. Pick a door. The sooner you start moving, the sooner you can leave."
Which will you choose? The RED door, or the BLUE door?
