But that would force defeated Champions to build a theme for the E4 besides their gym, if they have one. And it would also be a disadvantage for players who don't have a lot of time to battle, since being slower at collecting badges would eventually make them face off against Elite Fours rather than straight to the Champion like the faster ones did.

Also, let me write about some thoughts regarding E4, I would love some feedback on them!

1- Challengers that earn 8 badges will be able to be part of the E4, also will be able to make a new team for the E4, since they are still themed. Also the challengers that earn 8 badges will be able to challenge the others E4. If a challenger earns 8 badges and beats 4 E4 members, they will be crowned Champion.
So, basically, the E4 is made on the fly, there is no problem with having a Gym team and a different E4 team, and there can be multiple champions. This idea probably has some loopholes, but it's enough to get the season started and polish the details as we spot them.

2- Skip the E4, challengers who earns all the available badges are crowned as champions, but it can also be tweaked to allow only one Champion, which will be passed down to the Champion's challenger if they defeat said Champion. The first person to earn all the badges is automatically crowned Champion without battling, but can be the only one to challenge a Champion if they lost this status before. The rest of the players, if they lost their Champion status, cannot re-challenge for the rest of the season.

3- Been giving it some thought for a while and I'm still torned about centralizing the whole project, but listening to others opinions about it won't hurt:
Since not many players have been fond of being E4, by resigning being Gym Leader, I propose that I take charge of the whole E4, where I'll make 4 different themed teams. There's 2 options:
- Making the themes based on type, but the 4 teams have to be defeated in a row or it's a start over, classic E4.
- Making the themes based on team strategy: Offensive, Defensive, Gimmicky and SwitchForbidden. They can be defeated in any order and there's no starting over.
Type-themed will be Steel, Rock, Dragon and Fire, in that order. Steel will be Rotation Battle. Rock will be Triple Battle. Dragon will be Single Battle. Fire will be Double Battle.
Strategy-themed Offensive means 6 pokemon with high offensive stats and poor defensive stats. Defensive means 6 pokemon with high deffensive stats and poor offensive stats. Gimmicky means pokemon that based their strategies on odd/unnatural moves and abilities. SwitchForbidden means exactly that, a 6v6 battle where switching, either manually, by a move( U-Turn, Volt Switch, Parting Shot), item(Eject Button, Red Card) or ability(Don't even bother bringing Shadow Tag), is not allowed for any of the battlers. Offensive will be Singles Battle. Defensive will be Single Battle. Gimmicky will be Double Battle. SwitchForbbiden will be Single Battle.
Gaining all the badges will make the challenger able to challenge the E4. The Champion system will be the same as the one on point #2. Also, I would still run the fairy Gym.
