I just realised it's super easy to set up bases and use them as a sort of gym :V
It would be easier to do the gym thing we were planning to do this way.

I haven't moved my base from the default, either. :X I'm too lazy to find a pokemon to teach Secret Power to at the moment. I also haven't played in several days, so I haven't progressed beyond a couple of trainer fights right after getting Latios...

In the Aqua hideout, the grunt looked right at me, and didn't do a thing...I have a photo too. :x
The cycling road had me wondering if the trainers there only battled you if you literally ran into them. I stopped two steps away from one of them and they acted like I wasn't there at all. XD
But I'm pretty sure that Parasol Girl that spotted me had her sprite animation messed up, because earlier she would only look to the right or down, and then the next time I saw her she was looking right and up.
