I had more to say but right now I'm on a lunch break. I'll be back as soon as possible though. Thank you everyone for amazing gameof Espionage! I'll specify my thanks later on.

Getting everyone to go along with it was not likely, so when I saw Stopwatch's skeptical post from before I detailed the idea, I decided the safest bet was to go with the most inactive player that I could frame a story around to help get the strategy in motion. This way, even if the inactive target showed up later for a few minutes, unless they coordinated directly with the person who opposed the strategy, it was unlikely they would be able to disrupt it entirely. Conveniently, Osaka Detective had voted in a way that could be construed to be a Spy's "blending" behavior, so I took that and ran with it. In all, Espionage is about trust, but I would never say it's simply about "the truth". What you have to trust, as far as I'm concerned, is that people will act in the interests they are purporting are their own, not necessarily act exactly as they put forward. The information you put out there is being consumed not just by your allies but also your enemies, so there has to be a nice balance between those two ends of the spectrum. ...
so yeah... just as the final day story said, i was frantically going through all of Fujiwara's post to see who she has cleared of being NOT spy. and it looked like it was Stopwatch and i that she has proven... HOWEVER, as i may have already explained in the irc universe, " ...maybe i was trying to see if you have proven someone among dumytru, Jellitto, MoonRaven, Nemomon, MDavid". i already know i'm a civilian so, there's that. and Stopwatch was really looking like a NOT spy even if she wasn't proven. but i guess those investigations helped dumytru finally trust me even after all that i've done that a normal person would think is very spy-like? xD i guess i didn't really consider or rather i didn't really care if town/civilians would trust me or believe me. i just know that i'll do what i do and if they don't believe me, then they can always vote me out and i hope they'd really try to get back up and fight again xD Fujiwara!! what are the rest of your investigations? when exactly did you clear someone? and what was your last investigation if you happened to survive Day 5? you, too, Jecka!! what are the rest of your investigations? when exactly did you clear someone? and what was your last investigation if you happened to survive Day 4?Fujiwara wrote:...

Seeing you guys trust him was so frustrating .-.
guess i missed my own clue xD during the final hours of the last day, i was trying to enumerate the reasons on how/why MoonRaven or MDavid could be the spy. i tend to forget the things that i point out that's why i always want to hear others' input on what i present so i'd know if it was just me who thought of something or did the others thought the same as me and if we did, then what i said just might be the truth xD one thing that proved this is what Jellitto pointed out which made dumytru agree with her, too. while i was staring at the lists presented to me, that thing MoonRaven said back in Day 1 if i remember correctly about her list in which Stopwatch advised her on something has been on my mind as i was trying to analyze and compare the rest of her votes the rest of the game based on her 'list'. and since Jellitto noticed that too and dumytru has seconded her, then i guess we just really hit the truth! xD \o/shinichi'sapprentice wrote:WHAT IS GONNA HAPPEN NOW...
MDavid is most certainly going to vote MoonRaven now... if i remember correctly, he hasn't really mentioned any names who he thinks is the spy. only thing i can remember right now is that he said he trusts Raifuujin, Iwamoto Yuri, and shinichi'sapprentice... this is either based on his list OR he was confident on 'trusting' those names since one, Yuri was gonna die the phase he mentioned he trusted her... two, i'm the person who yelled out loud that i have 'cleared' Raifuujin of being NOT spy which then helped him narrow down that i am not a detective..? and three... Raifuujin...
MoonRaven, notice how she planned to vote Stopwatch OR dumytru, as i quoted above on my previous post, then in response to dumytru, changed that to dumytru OR shinichi'sapprentice, THEN DECIDED TO VOTE ME... Looks Like she doesn't even care who she will vote and can't even be bothered to take the time and think who really is the spy!

you were in my list. and i thought, you, trying to exchange votes in the early phases of the game was a detective's move to look like a civilian. read again closely everything you have posted and tell me if those words don't look like someone a detective would say. wouldn't you agree, spy?Kaito Lady wrote:I'm actually curious as to what lead people to think that :xshinichi'sapprentice wrote: @Kaito Lady: aside from Jd-, i seriously considered you being a possible REAL detective! so, good job on what you did even if you probably don't know what you did? xd

ah! i see, i see... close enough then! xD i thought it was that but i was fearing that the REAL detectives haven't really cleared a lot of people yet and that is not good! so, i tried to buy them some more time but failed ;__;Jd- wrote:...My idea going into that, if I survived (which started to feel less and less likely and then I woke up deadzorz), was to ask for a Detective to identify themselves if we had another massacre. If we did, I wanted to know who we could trust, outright, and who we couldn't. A crazy move, surely, but then you took it in a completely different (and ultimately much more compelling) direction by just pretending to be a Detective. We were kind of on the same path there. Actually I decided even before I got my role, to act the same regardless of what it will be.
I will answer the other questions a bit later.
WAIT WHAT?! MDavid played before?!Iwamoto Yuri wrote:I've seen you often enough to think that something was off, though... I really think you acted weird, though you got better at it in the middle.
I already said them. I already said that too. That would require going through logs which I do not feel like doing right now. I remember it was Not Spy but other than that.shinichi'sapprentice wrote:you, too, Jecka!! what are the rest of your investigations? when exactly did you clear someone? and what was your last investigation if you happened to survive Day 4?
I wanted to try to be a little bit creative with this round of Espionage, but I couldn't figure out a way to fit it into the format for the phase changes (until the last night, anyway; and I had Fuji's help with that one). So I chose to give the Spies and Detectives little story blurbs surrounding their actions. Personally, I don't think they were all that great, but they were fun to make.shinichi'sapprentice wrote: ...doing a quick scan on the latest posts, what are these kill stories you speak of MDavid? *__*
Day 2 - Raifuujin wrote:It's snowing as you make your way through the neighborhood. The wind keeps blowing against your neck harshly, forcing you to unfold your collar to alleviate the pain. After a couple minutes of fighting through the wind and snow, you reach your destination and take shelter on the patio, curtly knocking twice. The door opens, showing the surprised face of your concerned neighbor.
"What are you doing here?" she whispers hastily, pulling you inside and closing the door. "It's almost time for curfew!" You make your apologies, muttering something through chattered teeth about being caught in the storm. "I can see that," she laughs softly. "Here, let me make you some hot chocolate and then you can make your way home after the storm passes." She heads into the kitchen, but you remain in the foyer for a moment, taking hold of her scarf hanging on the coat rack and pulling it taut a few times, testing its strength. Wrapping the ends around your hands, you head into the kitchen.
The adrenaline carries you home. Shutting the door behind you, you take a glance at the clock in the room.
Look at that. Just in time for curfew.
You successfully killed Kaito Lady.
Day 1 - Fujiwara wrote:"Goddamnit," you swear at your home computer, frantically searching for the Internet for something, anything of use. The Mayor's unusual summons and resulting request troubled you greatly. He couldn't (perhaps wouldn't) give many details, but he tasked you to find information on the townspeople in the hopes that he might find narrow down his search for the Spies hiding in plain sight. As soon as the public voting ended, you rushed home and locked the door, getting right to work. After five hours of going through article after article, your eyes slowly drooped and closed...
Only to open sharply at the call of the siren in the town square, signalling the next Town Hall meeting. Damn it, you think to yourself as you shut off your computer. You couldn't get much, but you do know one thing: Jd- is NOT a Spy.

You know, I've always had a bizarre dream about doing just that... It's harder since you're not in everyone's head and you don't know what everyone is thinking, however. :\ If they were to PM the GM with their current thoughts on the issues at hand, however... That might make it possible. (So far, Stop's been very good at that. xD)MoonRaven wrote:we could construct a whole fic with these
