I blame Slider entirely for the fact that I went back to my parents' this weekend and brought back home a sack with the old Gamecube, controllers and games solely out of a burning need to play Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door again.
I blame myself for forgetting that you needed memory cards to play GC games, which I only realized when I stuck the adorably tiny disc in and found out it wouldn't load without a memory card and that the only card I had dug out was the Animal Crossing card.
So I played Animal Crossing for a couple hours. Those little blocky cartoons animals can get really passive-aggressive when you haven't visited them for nine years. I think I spent the whole time pulling weeds.
Right now I'm pretending Mia decided to do her hair like her counsins because I frankly don't have a better image atm :V

You got to admit that the artist has drawn Iris very alike Mia in that first picture, Conia. :x

I'm too much of a hoarder to ever delete game files, so I probably just need to go home again and dig out the old memory cards XP TTYD is one of the best games I've ever played and I want to play it again so much D:

Don't mind me stealing that last one, Rairai.

Lots of things to do today.
Must remind Archi to call the doc and make an appointment to get allergies tested. Saturday he missed work because Friday night his nose started acting up and it was light out before he could even think about getting any sleep. Missed work means less money, which is never a good thing. I should check in with the doc myself because I need more painkiller--my chest still keeps hurting, and no one has been able to figure out why. Apparently the steroid-based medicine the doc gave me isn't doing enough.
Keeper and I get to go yell at Employment Security (the unemployment office) because they still haven't paid her. She has a new job now, but is out of money because they never paid her the benefits she's due. After that we'll hit the bank so I can cash my paycheck, and probably also the library because library.
I have applications to work on, including a pre-test to take which might land me a work-from-home job. Working from home would be totally awesome as I wouldn't have to worry about getting to/from work. I am kinda still hoping to pick up a seasonal job at GameStop if I can, though, because that would be nice and I managed it last year. (OK, granted I spent my whole paycheck in the shop, but we got two handhelds and a Wii U.)
Probably a good chunk of the late afternoon will go to working on the blanket I'm currently making for my sister-in-law. It's working up beautifully, and she loved the one I gave her at the bridal shower, and I am having a BLAST making this blanket. I think I'll do another one in the same pattern for myself, but with different colours. Could be fun to work up quite a number of them. When my fingers start to complain about the hook, maybe I'll take a break and actually play Hyrule Warriors.... ~_~* I haven't actually touched the game yet, even though I had a blast with the in-store demo...
Random Miaka is random....
I have finally started to actually publish my story! For the moment, expect a new chapter each month.
"When a strange letter summons the Mouri family to Inaba, Ran is expecting a case. She's not expecting it to involve the TV, though.
If Naoto investigated everyone who came to visit Inaba, she'd have little time for real cases. When Yukiko reports that the Midnight Channel is back, however, she starts to wonder if the visitors are connected. Especially when the image clears, unveiling yet another mystery."
Short version: I'm taking various DC/MK characters to Inaba (where Persona 4 takes place) and dropping them through the TV to face their Shadows!
This morning, the wind on the roof was so strong that it blew the joghurt off my spoon.
I am now considering to buy a stunt kite. Had one as a kid, but there was never enough wind to fly it. Shouldn't be a problem here
