While the discussion went on Dick Gumshoe slipped out of the office, heading downstairs for a breath of air, but as he headed down someone stepped in front of him.
"Ah, it's you!" Gumshoe grinned. "Want to head down with me?" As the person in front of him nodded his smile widened and he stepped aside to walk down together, the former letting him take the lead.
"I never saw you leave the office, when did you go out?" He turned around to see the answer, but his eyes widened as a bat swung his way and hit him right in the face.
