On the plus side, as of the end of the month I'm no longer working so I can be up late at weekends if that's what it takes to make timezones work. My voice will probably be identifiable as the angry Scot XD

I've tried watching Conan in Italian, found the voices terrible. I don't remember the openings, gotta look for them maybe ^^

Reminds me of Italian openings to Digimon. Watched them centuries ago, but still they cannot go out of my head...

In the Italian version of Conan, the problems aren't so much the voices, as the translation and censorship. They censor words like "murder", "drugs", scenes with dead bodies (in the moonlight sonata case they substituted the word "drugs" with "micro-films", even though you can still clearly see the drug powder). They probably think DC is for children only and are afraid to scare them. In the first episodes they didn't even translate the epilogues, leaving the stories incomplete. The Italian fans I have talked to are really upset for this treatment of the series. Also, I noticed they cut off Japanese terms like "kun", "chan" etc for the names even though they are used for some word plays in the original, like the adult Shinichi once calling Ran "Ran-neechan" like he used to as Conan, provoking her bewildered reaction.

Omm: so this morning, on my way to school, 4 Op/end songs from anime/shows that Kappei has been in played in a row. :V I'm sure it was just a coincidence, but it was really weird.

It's starting to look like I should've just stayed home. Both of my professors are at conferences today, so the only reason I had to come in was for a group meeting which may not be happening after all. $:-\$
