Back to Virtue's Last Reward. I kinda love how this series' spends 20 minutes on random scientific theories for stuff that MIGHT be plot relevant (though to be fair, this game has that stuff be less frequent and more relevant than 999)

For FPS fans (or people who aren't, like me, but like funny games anyway) I wanna jump in and plug Bedlam. The script and story are written by Christopher Brookmyre, one of my all-time favourite authors, the protagonist gets all of the points from me for being a Scottish lassie called Heather, and it's basically one giant reference to the entire history of video games. You start off in a fictional game that's based on Doom, but you steadily progress into more modern shooters while trying to find your way back to the real world.

It's only out on Early Access just now, so it's not finished, but definitely keep an eye out for when it is, because it looks like brilliant fun.

I've been playing a lot of GTA 5 lately. Its satire is so blatant that it's hilarious. That and the actual high quality of the missions really make this game. But I really am not enjoying how it's structured as an open world game. You can set a waypoint but it does nothing so you have no idea how to get anywhere and you constantly end up on the freeway and away from where you want to go. This is probably why I don't normally play GTA games.

Now onto Investigations: Miles Edgeworth. I'm amused by how Edgeworth's response to finding a murder in his office is to intimidate the guy holding a gun to his back.

do play a fan translation of the sequel. The patch is complete and since Capcom is being an ASS and not realising it... I consider Investigation 2 to be the BEST Ace Attorney game EVER!

Also, I think I found an actual problem with VLR. It's abundantly clear that 999 wasn't actually supposed to have a sequel. Which is weird for a game that ended on with a sequel hook of sorts.
