So many useless stories.
but in the interview Gosho said he wants to draw Shiho riding a Harley,I really want to see that!
concerning Takagi childhood,i'm sure it will be revealed that Sato was a childhood friend and he forgot that XDXD
Please no, Sato and Takagi are unique just, because they aren't childhood friends.

Honestly, I don't mind all those love/friendship stories, but I hope that Gosho will take BO's plot as a priority.

I hope that Gosho does in fact make Sato Takagi's forgotten childhood friend. To me, more childhood romance stories there are, better it is, unless they have sad endings. I know, maybe this seems an exaggeration, but childhood friends usually lose, this is quite saddening and annoying to me, so if in DC there are so many examples of "the other way around" I couldn't be happier. I think it's good that Gosho appreciates childhood love, it's very romantic when love lasts since a young age even through long separation, even though I prefer when they grow up together like Shinichi and Ran or Heiji and Kazuha.

But I agree the BO should be a priority, it's a detective show after all.

Seriously????you aren't sick of all those childhood pairings???
This is getting really annoying IMO,only two or three couples like that are enough. But Gosho said childhood pairings are easy to write so I guess that's why I don't like them,it's too simple and not realistic IMO.

And I agree with you all,we need more BO(and more of Shiho in my case XDXD)

AICHAN, maybe it's indeed too simple, but the fact it isn't realistic is another reason I like it. And DC isn't a very realistic show anyway, with all those crimes committed with things like a fishing line tied to some object which activates the murder weapon etc, with potions that transform adults into children and with a high school detective who is going to kick an international mafia's butt :) Imo, the series would be more boring if everything was realistic.

hmm I guess we all have different opinions about DC,it's just that after so many years reading DC,I find the romance really repetitive, and not really interestin, but it's good some people like it.
I guess I'm expecting more efforts from Gosho to surprise me,sadly even with the plot he kinda disappointed me.

I don't mind the concept of the childhood pairings, but IMO it became repetitive that why I hope Sato and Takagi won't become another childhood pairings. Fortunately, there are pairings that aren't childhood friends. HeijixKazuha are still on the top of my list in my favourite pairings list, though. Gosho most likely choose easier way of pairings, i.e. making them childhood friends, to focus more on the crime part of the manga.

Yes, I definitely want to see more BO and Shiho (in her adult form) and I also want to see more of Amuro.

Don't worry AICHAN, I'm sure Gosho will still surprise us ;)

@Takagi childhood story
The reason why I love Satou and Takagi is because, as far as we know, they aren't childhood friends. I'd love to see chibi-Takagi. But omg Gosho, don't you dare make them childhood friends DX

Why, even if he makes them childhood friends it's not like this will nullify everything that happened between them and all the values and interesting characteristics of the pairing.
People complain the childhood friend pairings annoy them because they are badly written. Takagi x Sato is in no way badly written, I think most people agree about that, so if they are childhood friends it would be a "well written childhood pairing". What's wrong with that?

And honestly, the only reason about disliking childhood friend pairings that makes sense to me is if the two children grown up together feel like siblings and therefore are uncomfortable to become romantic partners. I can't think about anything else no matter how hard I try.

My biggest problem isn't with how they're written, it's with how often they are. 90% of the couples in DC are childhood friend pairings. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind them (my parents are childhood friends and they've been married for over 2 decades), but seriously, it's getting a little old. >_>

^this
especially with such a long manga as DC,Gosho has to be more original, take more risk in order to surprise people,or else it gets boring.

Sorry to bump, but I wanted to put all the questions in one post.
Startold wrote:I've just finished the translation of some of the SDB 70+'s "Interview with Gosho Aoyama questions" from japanese to french. I translated the questions in english, but very quickly. I'm not fluent in english, so please excuse me for the errors.
Spoiler:
Q 14: I would like to see more episodes with Shinichi.
A- Me too. (laugh)

Q 15: Do you feel stressed about drawing Conan, since the series's being more and more popular?
A- Not at all.

Q 16: Have you already thought of ending quickly Conan so you could have more time for yourself?
A- A little. I would like to have more time to play Kantai Collection.
(Note : Aoyama says "Kan Kore", so I assume he's talking about "KanColle", so "Kantai Collection", a card game popular in Japan).

Q 17: Is there a trick to continue writing an already long story?
A- There maybe is one, but I don't know it.

Q 18: What feeling have you got when you draw the scenes where the murderer kills someone?
A- The feeling of being a murderer. (laugh). I think I must have strange faces at these moments.

Q 20: What do you want from Japan in the future?
A- Stop the Olympic Games!
(Note : I don't understand that one. I think it means he doesn't want Japan to participate to the Olympics...?)

Q 21: What's your favorite Mai Kuraki song?
A- "Secret of my Heart".

Q 23: Do you know how to play soccer?
A- Not at all.

Q 24: I would like to be a seiyu in "Conan" in the future. How can I be one?
A- Do your best!

Q 26: What stories are the longest to prepare?
A- In drawing, it must be the Men in Black stories.

Q 27: On volume 79's cover, we can see Conan picking up his glasses, but he has already got them on his nose. Is it an error?
A- Really?! It's an error.

Q 28: Is there a character who became popular but only appeared in one case?
A- The kid at Teitan Kindergarten.

Q 29: Do you have time to think of something else than "Detective Conan"?
A- Yes. When I play Kan Colle.

Q 32: Aoyama-sensei, please do your best in the future for Conan.
A- I'll do my best!

Q 34: Wich artists have influenced your drawing style?
A- Monkey-punch-sensei, Chiba Tetsuya-sensei and Adachi Mitsuru-sensei. And Akemi Matsunae-sensei too Mix those four artists, and you'll get my drawings.

Q 35: How do your idead for the stories come up?
A- I think of it before sleeping. Like, "Oh, it would be funny if I did it like that"...

Q 36: I think fans send you lots of mail. Do you manage to read them all?
A- I manage. Thank you very much. Fans ask from time to time autographs/signatures, but if I do an autograph for one fan, I should do it for all the others, so please understand me. Sorry.

Q 38: Do you watch girl's anime for your manga?
A- No, not really... But I've watched Gyopi-chan ("Kingyo Chyuuihou") in the past.

Q 40: When you draw manga, do you watch a movie or listen to music?
A- Yes, of course.
(Note : Not sure about that one)

Q 41: What's the most entertaining movie you've watch recently?
A- "Pacific Rim". And "Django Unchained" was awesome too!

Q 42: Why do you draw fingernails for you characters? Since volume 60, we can see their fingernails.
A- Without the fingernails, I thought we couldn't see if they had gloves on them or not. That's why I began drawing the fingernails. Sans les ongles, je pensais qu'on arrivais pas à voir s'ils avaient des gants ou pas. C'est pourquoi j'ai commencé à les dessiner.

Q 45: Do you enjoy your life?
A- Yes, I do!

Q 46: Sensei, of all the Conan movies that have been released, is there one movie you like more than others?
A- In movie 2, "The Fourteenth Target", when Conan's about to shoot at Ran, the camera rotates around Conan, and I've drawn the last drawing of this scene. And I really like that drawing.

Q 47: Is thre going to be released an artbook with all your color illustrations of other works than "Conan"?
A- I don't know. But I wouldn't say no.

Q 48: What's the best thing that has happened in the last 20 years?
A- The movies, I think. I wasn't aware they would released Conan movies.
Startold wrote:Thank you for the images. We're translating the questions Elixir sent us.
It looks like we were right: movie 19 is going to be about Kaito Kid and Van Gogh's drawing "Les Tournesols" (The Sunflowers). When the interviewer asks Gosho if Kaito Kid is going to be in the movie, Gosho answers "Are you a seer or what?".
Startold wrote:Sample of the translation of the other questions :

"Are Yukiko and Sera's mum sisters?"
Answer : The sister isn't Yukiko but...

What do you like about Conan?
Answer : The fact that it gives me money.

I'll post the other questions tomorrow (GMT+1 time). It would be great if another skillful translator corrected our translation, because I'm not 100% confident in it.
Thanks again to Tyna-chan for the help. ;)
Startold wrote:Yes:

For the Meitantei Zukan (the Detective Picture Book at the end of the volumes), your assistants are the one who choose them, right?

What do you like about Conan?
Answer : The fact that it gives me money.

I would like a case in Kyoto! Inspector Ayanokoji! An event in Kansai where we could meet with Aoyama-sensei would be great! Please! Kansai people would be more interested in Conan!

Will Kid appear in next year's movie?
A : Are you a seer or what?!...

Kid will appear?! That means that the teaser at the end of movie 18 with the sunflowers is related to Gogh's drawing or an artwork?

Kid vs Kyougoku was a special event, and it won't reappear... It's a shame. Since there hasn't been any Kid vs Heiji, I would like to see one.

Are Yukiko and Sera's mum sisters ?
A : Yukiko isn't the sister, but...

Has Azusa got a boyfriends?
A : Non.
I remember an anime original where a boy who seemd to have feelings for Azusa appeared, but he only appeared once.

Has Conan discovered Kid's real identity?
A : ... It would be catastrophic if he discovered it.

I don't want Amuro and Haibara to die.
A : Amuro and Haibara... I would like these two to live... What's going to happen...

Are you going to write a story about how Shinichi and Ran first met?
A : I would like to!

OK, so let me explain something.
We've translated, Tynaria-chan and I, from this link : http://conanforum.org/index.php?page=Th ... post816215
It seems that the fans who wrote the interview on Internet added their own comment, like, after Aoyama's "I would like to!" in the last question, they wrote "It looks like they have met before elementary school...?". So please excuse me if I mixed up Aoyama's answers and the fans's comments.

Q77: Does Ayumi still have a good feeling for Conan now?
A: Yes!
Q94:Is there any relationship between Rei Furuya and Date Wataru?
A: Yes.
Q97: It seems that Conan is not good at cooking, how did he deal with his meal before he was shrunked?
A: Instant noodles and takeaway food. In addition, Ran occasionally cooked for him.
Q100: Do the members of BO have their respective homes?
A: It should be.
Q103:How old is Gin?
A: You see how old he looks like?
Q118: Is anyone that Sera Masumi loves?
A: Yes.
Q120: What Sera likes now?
A: It should be Conan.(Note: Sera actually sees herself as Conan's apprentice, She likes Conan but Conan is not her love interest)
Q125: I want to see both Haibara and Shuichi get back to their normal life.
A: Yeah.(I want, too.) In order to get there, everyone shall keep it up!
Q126: I love Ai-chan very much, is it real that Ai-chan cannot get her happiness? I want to see her smiles from now on.
A: I have no idea when I will draw that scene, but in the true end there may be some bright spots about her.(Note: It seems that Gosho doesn't answer the question directly)
Q130: Why can Haibara sense the smell of BO from Subaru Okiya?
A: You'll get that in the subsequent manga.
Q143: How is Ran's deductive skills?
A: The level of ordinary people.
Q148:What feeling do you want to have to end DC?
A: In a good feeling.
Q150: Currently, how much has DC been covered?
A: How to say that...Maybe just a half, maybe close to the end. It depends on your imagination!

In addition, From Q109, Q111, Q112, Q113, it is clear that the anokata is not Conan, Ran, Vermouth or Ninzaburo Shiratori.(These questions seem silly, I think.)
Chris wrote:I've translated some questions from the pictures that Norman posted.

A: As for Amuro...I don't know. Please look out for it.

Q105: Is there a connection between Amuro and Taii the cat?
A: Not especially.

Nemomon >> I was actually wondering if it was Gosho who said "Sera actually sees herself as Conan's apprentice, She likes Conan but Conan is not her love interest)", or if it was a side-note from the chinese team who translated the interview? From my copy of the Super Digest Book 70+, I only remember Gosho answering "Conan-kun ka na", and then answering the next question...
