I'm very happy!
The candidate to win on Sunday is Germany, but our players will do the best to avoid that.
well, I'm pretty sure you'll be out in seconds.
Considering you guys won by sheer luck, that is (an unlucky switch and trainers ignoring advice from experts who knew messi would shoot to the right side of the goal)
That plus your keeper was trained by van Gaal, talk about a good trainer.
Wow...
Sometimes you win and sometimes not, a really important part in sports is being a good winner/loser and never underestimate your rival.
Even though Argentina had more chances to score, it was an even match and a draw was a fair result. The penalties are a lottery. Holland had luck with them in quarterfinals against Costa Rica and now Argentina did. Also yes, Van Gaal is a great coach.
Anyway, I'm already very happy to make it to the final.
EDIT: Which of those 'experts' said that Messi would shoot to the right side BEFORE the penalty kicks? Here we have a saying that, more or less, says: 'Everybody is an expert with tomorrow's newspaper'.
Hey, I never said I expected to win the match and honestly I could care less about the fact that we didn't. In all honesty we made a mess out of the match.
Either way, I don't think Argentinia is a very strong team (as observant, not a sore loser) and if we had won I'm sure Germany would win from us anyway, concidering how easily they scored in the match against Brazil (which was mostly my point, which I should have explained to you in my previous post).
Also, yes, this expert I mentioned said this before the match and the trainer he told it to said it was under control, but apparently it wasn't since our penalty inexperienced goalie moved the wrong way. Talk about stubborn idiots .
They really aren't. Most of my friends are convinced that the reason the Netherlands didn't beat them was due to poor roster adjustments from a sick player.
That said not only do I feel that Germany is the stronger team, they also have the distinct advantage of having an extra days rest.
Gotta agree with your friends there kyuu, Nigel de Jong should have stayed off the field and Sneider probably as well, with his stomach flue and sore knee. Due to their switches we weren't allowed to put Krul on goal, who last time stopped two of CRC's penalties...
But van Gaal did well, I guess. No one I know expected us to get this far.
(I just wish he'd given the goalies the same training as he's given to Argentina's goalie...)
As for now, I'll let my German genes surface and root for the country my dad's origins are in. Go Germany!
