Vermouth said to Rei 'There is no chance how Akai could still be alive...' so basically there's no reason for her to comment on Kir's involvement, since she believes Akai's dead. Well she could say something like 'Kir didn't turn out to be a spy, at least'. I also wonder about wiretap acting up. Did Amuro do something with it? I guess, Vermouth probably didn't hear the conversation between Rei and Akai since she would most likely ask him whom he talked with.

The other interesting thing is Rei thinking that the only unexpected thing was, when Conan asked him, if he's an enemy of bad guys. I hope that Rei would investigate more into Conan and he would find out that he's Shinichi.

I also can't wait for the full translated file.

File 499, Rena Mizuhashi debuted as normal broadcaster, then reveal she is BO member Kir in next chapter with colored page. File 599, Andre Camel debuted as suspicious person who seems to be spy from BO, but ended up he is FBI agent who planned with Conan and Akai. File 699 and 799 had no new character introduced. A new series File 899, could it be either a new character looked suspicious to be Rum debuted or a normal character revealed he/she is Rum in File 900.

not to mention it makes BO look pathatic. I mean at one time in the past BO had FIVE spies: Bourbon, Scotch, Kir's father, Kir herself, and Akai. It just makes them look said if Rum turns out be a spy as well.

you know what would be funny? If someone like Gin turns out to be a secret police!

I think I missed that case. When was it said that Vermout and Gin were/are in a relationship?

I think it was confirmed by Gosho in some interview(the BO booklet that you can read in the spoiler section).and it was Vermouth who was into Gin XDXD
Concerning Rum of course I hope he's not a spy,and I really hope no more deguises will be used,that would be so boring.Maybe it's someone we already know but never suspected before.

I dont want it to be her. I want a more dangerous looking character. Mayve a pirate with the name Rum -joke.

And she's a bar tender too. She was quite unique.

Does anyone else find it weird how the organization didn't realize Rei was the top student in the police academy and still let him in the organization? surely such organization would check the history of any newly acquired member?

Couple of possibilities that I've mentioned in the past: If they knew, he may have been in the police at their behest to begin with (the setup of The Departed for Matt Damon's character), or he was dismissed from the police dishonorably or never fully accepted as a tactic to provide cover to be hired into the secret police and go on just such an infiltration mission (the setup of The Departed for Leonardo DiCaprio's character). If they did not know, he may have just been using a false identity. The police would have no difficulty establishing a fake identity for him to work from.

Right now, there's not enough information to say, definitely, either way. I'm sure this will come to light relatively soon (in Conan terms).
