On the matter of the cellphone message, what if it isn't a time delay, but a sign that all incoming and outgoing calls and messages are blocked in the Kudo house unless explicitly allowed? Maybe Professor Agasa rigged the house to be a cell dead zone so that all of Amuro's incoming and outgoing calls can be intercepted and controlled by Agasa and Conan? They could spoof messages to Amuro, and send spoofed messages from Amuro back to Amuro's comrades.
The trick is that the message about Yuusaku winning didn't come in at all because it was autoblocked, and the TV being on is a decoy to suggest the house is receiving signals just fine. Technologically, that is feasible.

Look, I meant that the photo I posted of Subaru crosses his arms the same way as Akai in the car does in this file. Meaning that his arm crossing, sans other clues, does not give us any indication of his handedness.IShinichiKudo wrote:But he also, as Subaru, crosses his arms that same way as in the car.PhantomWriter wrote:IShinichiKudo wrote:what I mean that when akai in car..he never change his way get it?
I mean in the car
look it's like real akai's
the Okiya and Akai in the left and below those are the real Akai's way when he get in a car.understand?
the right one isn't the real one cause the way is different to akai's real way!

@Chek
Then i will really doubt the need to show Akai in front of Jodie's pursuers. They could just send fake message/call to Amuro instead. I think Amuro did receive news from his friend.

@Chekhov: It's definitely not out of the realm of possibility (especially in Conan's world). I just don't understand the purpose, from Conan's point of view, of going to those lengths when they could do this in a much simpler fashion without as wide a margin for error. Also, are those newsflashes and broadcast alerts in Japan done by signal? Would the TV be using one means of delivery for the award show broadcast and another for receiving alerts? I'm certain it's not that way in the U.S., but it's possible Japan is different.
You know, though... I'm starting to get a "Mystery Train" kind of vibe here...

May I ask what sort of vibe? Because I'm getting mixed signals and I'm not sure how I feel about all of this.Jd- wrote:@Chekhov: It's definitely not out of the realm of possibility (especially in Conan's world). I'm also baffled again at Akai going along with Conan's plan at the word go. To be honest, I'm baffled because of the fact that he's not at all annoyed with Conan after Conan has:
1. Deliberately hid his identity to him after Conan was aware from the start that Subaru and Akai were one and the same. And then Conan, upon finding out Akai's figured out he's Shinichi, promptly panics.
2. Been one of the weaker links in this whole mess that's led up to the Scarlet series, to the point that he's revealed more information to Amuro than Camel has, who is the FBI's clear weak link.
I'm sorry, but this whole mess is coming across as Akai being forced to shill Conan. Instead of showing Akai's ideas and showing Conan's plan in motion and letting the reader make their judgment on which was a good idea or showing why Akai went with Conan's instead of his own, we're forced to listen to Akai say about Conan's plans being so accurate.
It is really disrespectful toward Akai's intellect; he's pretty darn intelligent. He'd surely come up with a reasonably good plan, considering he's over ten years older than Kudou, is about Kudou's level in terms of deductive reasoning, he's more intelligent in other fields, and he's had a lot more experience in dealing with the Black Org. and Amuro! He should be able to predict the situation better than Conan, especially since he has more of that background. If it's all Conan's plan, that just adds another bit of evidence to my idea of "Conan has become a Gary Stu."

Like phantom said, it is now really annoying how Conan is the dominate planner as if Akai is a normal individual, I hope that Gosho reveals more to Akai's role rather than a tool for conan's plan

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is disappointed about that...akai is supposed to have much more experience with the BO than Conan, and I expect him to plan everything with Conan's help, not just being a tool like you said.kholoudsafir wrote:Like phantom said, it is now really annoying how Conan is the dominate planner as if Akai is a normal individual, I hope that Gosho reveals more to Akai's role rather than a tool for conan's plan

A "Mystery Train" vibe is basically when a larger-than-life arc is built up quickly with a lot of hype behind it, only to result in a baffling finale that serves only to raise more questions than it answers as to the motivation behind what not only Gosho was thinking but the characters involved were thinking as well.PhantomWriter wrote:May I ask what sort of vibe? This is opposed to a "Red Shirts" vibe, which is essentially where you just kind of wish it was all a dream.

It makes sense from Conan's perspective: the fewer people know, the better. Akai should be able to appreciate that given his own situation.PhantomWriter wrote:May I ask what sort of vibe? Also this. I agree completely that Conan has made terrible mistakes with Amuro, so now painting him as this genius planner so much smarter than Akai would be horribly inconsistent. My response would be that as far as we know this is just Amuro's theory about who came up with the fake-death plan. But then we have Akai's claim that the latest plan to deal with Amuro was all planned by Conan, so I agree that it doesn't makes sense.I'm sorry, but this whole mess is coming across as Akai being forced to shill Conan. Akai may be intelligent but he's too hax to begin with, if his brother is smarter than him then Akais abilities needs to be balanced...

Re: Discussion Thread: Detective Conan Files 894-???: Scarlet Series!
I don't think it's disrespectful. Not at all. I doubt this is supposed to suggest that Conan is smarter than Akai, that's not it. Akai, unlike most smart characters, isn't a detective, his deductive skills aren't useful when it comes to solving murders, so it's hard to compare. Akai has shown himself to be on one level with Conan, though, especially during Clash. I'm pretty sure as well that Akai would be able to come up with a good plan. I'm also sure that Conan would be able to come up with a good plan. Why is it a problem when they go with one rather than the other? I doubt Akai just OK'ed it because it was Conan who devised it. He's aware of the whole thing and judges it based on how good a plan he thinks it is, not on who came up with it. It seems Akai has a lot of respect for Conan's intellect and doesn't care that a guy 10 years younger than him is out-smarting him on occasion. I think that's quite all right.PhantomWriter wrote:May I ask what sort of vibe? I'm not saying I'm really pleased with how things seem to go. Both how Akai's death was faked and how Bourbon seems to walk into a trap was all Conan's doing as we've learned recently. I'd have hoped that Gosho would reveal those plans to have been Conan in collaboration with Akai and maybe even Kir who knows what she's doing as well. But he didn't... That's not ideal, from my perspective, but it's not disrespectful either.
Also...
Why would he be annoyed by that? That was probably the most fun he's had since he had the opportunity to snipe Gin in 425.PhantomWriter wrote:1.
