I'm giving the detective this time to do so while the spy gets nothing.
The Spy gets to kill, and Investigate has been heavily depowered iirc. So, the Spy gets to narrow down the Detective by their own choice, while we sit here with no control over who dies (and if the Spy is clever, they'll target people unlikely to tell us anything when their role is revealed). We can't find the Spy if we don't do something. Town's only power is to lynch, and so not using it doesn't make sense right now. Okay, I'm fine with a no lynch, but *only* if we gain information from it, which this tie isn't doing.
This isn't like previous rounds where we had a list containing the Spy and/or the Detective because that isn't the case anymore.

Unless some serious support comes up very soon, count me out out of the tie-vote initiative. We just don't have the support to do it this phase with any sort of certainty.
If we don't get it together, I'll be voting completely randomly, without consulting my list.
Then what do you think we should do stop?
We can't vote from our list because there's a 1/7 chance we vote the detective. We can't not vote from our list because the spy can use this against the detective. And if we don't mention our lists no one will get any information either.
We either make sure no one gets arrested so we get lists that can help us out or we arrest an innocent civilian and get no info out of that. If we only get kills from the Spy it's win for us and if the Detective plans their investigation right they could still figure out a lot.
So that's why I wanted to arrange a random tie. So the detective had the time to figure things out. In this round we accomplish nothing by not doing so.

Well, I think we have enough people to do this thing. Conan-chandesune volunteered as well and Topgop said he'll vote Jd-. I'll vote Conan-chandesune then, and it'll look like this:
Conan-chandesune and Togop vote for Jd-.
Jd- and me vote for Conan-chandesune.
If Yuri and Fuji get on board as well, which they indicated they would, we can have each volunteer have exactly three votes.
"Vad ska jag annars vara?" - "Det vet jag inte. Det måste du svara på. Men om du släpper allt du tror att du måste, och frågar dig vad du vill... Vad vill du då?"

We vote based on suspicion disregarding the lists. The only info on the lists is the identity of the Detective. It would be bad idea to share them in most circumstances. The only person with anything to gain info-wise from the lists is the Spy, and the Informants.
We get information by arresting if we discuss the main suspects because how they react, who pushes the lynch, and so on, can be helpful clues, especially as the game goes on.
I disagree so much with what you're saying, and if you read the rules properly you might be able to see why.

The tie-vote strategy is now on. If you are in the following list, please vote accordingly or post saying you're not going to participate as soon as possible:
Conan-chandesune votes for Jd- Togop votes for Jd-
___________ votes for Jd-
Jd- votes for Conan-chandesune googleearth votes for Conan-chandesune
___________ votes for Conan-chandesune
NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT VOTE FOR MYSELF OR WHICHEVER PERSON VOLUNTEER #2 ENDS UP BEING UNLESS YOU POST AND ARE CONFIRMED AS A PARTICIPANT IN ARRANGING THE TIE. WE MAY NOT GET ENOUGH PEOPLE, AND ANY OUTSIDE RANDOM VOTES WILL BE VERY BAD FOR THE CIVILIANS TEAM.
ANYONE THAT DISRUPTS THE VOTE SHOULD BE SEEN AS SUSPICIOUS, INTERROGATED, AND ARRESTED IMMEDIATELY. TAKE NO CHANCES.
Stopwatch wrote:@Jd-: Why do you think the tie vote strategy is the best?
I actually... don't think it's the best strategy to go for. But, I do think there's one thing we can gain from it. That thing is something I won't mention (should this go through) until the next phase, as I'm not entirely sure who most benefits. It's tangentially related to the conundrum I mentioned earlier during Prep Phase and I'm still a little undecided on how exactly to disseminate that information without giving the Spy an advantage going forward.
Also: There are two Informants in this round. Somewhere, today, they have very, very likely already responded to their Orders from the Spy. We should analyze the posts leading up to this point to decide who may be involved at this point.
Well, we could try to analyse posts, but orders spy give can be anything from going along with the idea, going against it or randomly saying stuff. Therefore, realising what the message is the spies want their informants to give, that will be rather hard.
Of course we can try by listing what our players have said round one, Jd-.

You were in favour of tie voting, Yuri, weren't you? Would you be willing to be part of the current plan to achieve a tie? We're still loking for two participants.
