Implying that you're the detective and googleearth (whom you voted for) is the spy, I assume... I don't see anything that suggests you're the spy or an informant. I'd consider several courses of action:
1) Ignore this message of mine.
2) Arrest googleearth today.
3) Arrest Yuri Iwamoto today, and if she's not an informant/spy, googleearth tomorrow.

Can you order these three courses of action most preferable to least preferable from your point of view?
Okay, hold on. Does that mean I can get Raiden arrested by claiming to have something to say, but am prevented from by the rules? 'Cause I have an entire list of people I'm not allowed to even partially make public.

Serioulsly, though, I would assume that Yuri has information about the fact that the very same three people caused the arrest in both Day phases so far. The reason she can't mention it is probably that it would involve revealing part of her list or something. If she actually is the Detective and has found the Spy, she wouldn't try to influence our votes like that.

heh. interesting. i just rushed to get a laptop and when i got back, it was like this.

my initial reaction before the unforeseen edit:
"what?! terrible! with this, it's just like day 2 all over again!"

Jd- wrote:Given that Conan-chandesune was on the Spy's side, if you assume I'm a civilian, I'd say that it's really likely I'd be voted as opposed to not. Also, if it were me as the Spy, wouldn't it be really weird for me to order him to vote for me and then kill him? That'd be one totally evil move if I were the Spy--to use him to create an alibi and then just kill him outright.
if commanding the informants to vote for the spy was really the order, then it would just make sense that the spy accidentally killed his own ally. since first order was sent after prep phase, spy would only know the result of his order only after day 1. (that is, again if my underlined statement was the true order) still, i've yet to find the reason for killing Conan-chandesune.

googleearth wrote:So, shinichi'sapprentice, your theory is that the Spy Jd- ordered Conan-chandesune - unaware of who it is at that point - to vote him and reveal his identity by excessively using periods? Having become aware of who his Informant is, Jd- killed his ally to divert suspicion?
the bolded part, that was just me stating possible orders... don't you think it's just stupid to rely on that as basis for believing that Conan-chandesune was an informant? and if it was actually the order, then wow...

i've been trying since day 1 to point out suspicious posts/activities. seriously, and jokingly... i was bent on trying to figure out who the informants are. but now, it's day 3. i completely forgotten that the objective was to catch the spy. chasing the remaining informant now is just not right. the only use he has now is make a blunder on communicating with the spy. if you guys don't think so, then tell me what else threat the informant possess?

I agree with Bash here. who's Bash? hmm... bolded part.. interesting.

as for the recent results, it is really indeed interesting...
what was the spy thinking? it could be that:
-his identity is now that of one of the players that has not posted a lot yet. excluding miyano_shiho now since she posted right before day 2 ended. it will just be pointless not to do anything after the effort of posting so early in the morning(her timezone) informing us of what her situation is
-he is still mourning for the loss of his comrade.
-he is now being cautious because he still hasn't figured out the identity of his other subordinate
-he's just being unique because who would have thought the spy will not kill today/can just not kill at all
-he's laughing the evil laugh right now since it's to his advantage that the population of the civilians is gradually decreasing and we're having a hard time now since a list has not been revealed up to now and we don't have anything to compare notes with

Spoiler: Mini rant
I get the logic behind voting those who aren't posting in the thread. Those who don't say anything give no info to go off of, be it who they believe is suspicious or just to have something posted that others will attempt to classify if something sounds suspicious. However, I also still find it really silly to vote for those who choose not to talk.
1) I'm one of them. :V
2) I don't like posting when I have nothing important to say, and the other inactive people might be the same way.
3) Everyone's best course of action when they don't have a list is to pretend like they do. There might be strategies for saying nothing at all while being a spy/informant, but right now, I see no reason for them to not post. Especially since Jd- is going to hone in on the non-posters.

I'm not really that annoyed by this (though it might seem like it). I just don't like being under suspect because I chose not to post. And then having to post because, by not posting, I'm likely to be voted, even though I've said many times that I'm not an active poster. If I have something pertinent to say, I'll say it. Until then, I lurk.
I wouldn't mind if we did the whole nominating people again. It gives those who are inactive something to say, without making it as forced of a post as 'Oh no, I'll be voted if I don't say anything.'
Spoiler: Nominee
shinichi'sapprentice, if only for trying to make posts with smileys seem suspicious. ::)
I'd rather not have a repeat vote for Kamite like last time, just because he hasn't posted often. Maybe if him not saying anything becomes overly suspicious (like if he still hasn't said anything in a few more days), but until then, I'm going to chose not to vote him unless given a better reason than just inactivity.

Actually, I wouldn't do it that way. If I was sure bash was the spy you'd know it in 2000 sized bold letters.
Anyway, it has to do with other stuff, mostly a list... but we were told not to mention said list. In short, just let is ignore you and your post.

Indeed, I agree that catching the spy, and not the second informant, should be our main objective. However it's not true that the informant poses no threat whatsoever. The informant is a second person who will try to misdirect us in order to make us arrest innocent civilians or the detective. And through the informant, the spy commands a total of two votes, which he can use in pursuit of that same goal. Nonetheless it makes more sense to concentrate our efforts on identifying and apprehending the spy.

To that end, I support Raifuujin's suggestion of bringing back nominations and giving people the chance to either convince us of their innocence or inadvertently give themselves away as the spy.

I nominate Kamite, because even though Raifuujin is right in saying that the spy doesn't necessarily have to be hiding, it's still a lot easier to distinguish friend from foe if everyone is talking, and that should be in the best interest of all innocent parties.

i am also against voting for non-active players. proof of this is round 1. it is just wrong and suspicious to do something that is not your style. however, in the long run, you will have to post anyway. what's the point of joining if you're just gonna lurk anyway. it's not helpful for other civilians because instead of being watchful for suspicious players, we still have to keep in mind players that are opting to be silent. also, what are you going to do if in the future you're assigned as the detective? you can't just keep quiet forever. if you become detective, and is known for being "not-so-active", how are you gonna share your deductions to us? the spy will just go straight for the kill.
Spoiler: now, to Raifuujin. don't open it if you're not Raifuujin!
you are actually now in my list of "non-active players that shouldn't be bullied by Jd-". you earned this trust. and if at the end of this round, you end up being one of the enemy because you took advantage of you being in my "non-active players that shouldn't be bullied by Jd-" list, you are going to remember this, until i see you in future rounds
that aside, although i specifically bolded it in humongous letters in this post, just for this time, and this time only. fellow players, consider thinking about the people who has not posted a lot. why did the spy not kill anyone? one thing i can think of is that he was not able to send his action in time due to inactivity? otherwise, the spy could just have been taking advantage of this and i hate you for making me go against my words by suggesting to consider thinking this through with non-active players as suspects.

so yeah. the results of day 2. it could be that the spy is inactive. or he is so clever to have done all this.

Now that... is an unexpected turn of events.
Togop wrote:I wonder if the spy is inactive, just pretending to be inactive, or is afraid to kill as the second informer hasn't identified himself.
That sums up the possibilities and I'm honestly not sure which is more likely. They killed on the first day, but not the second? I can think of some potential strategies for doing so, but... I'm not sure who's wild enough to actually go through with that.

The spy could try to make inactive people suspicious on purpose. Since a lot of us thought the spy might have gotten inactive.
Or the spy is in a timezone where he didn't manage to send in a action in time?
He could also not have figured out his secound informant yet and didn't want to risk killing the informant again accidentally (if it was accidentally and not an evil scheme XD)

Togop wrote:I wonder if the spy is inactive, just pretending to be inactive, or is afraid to kill as the second informer hasn't identified himself.
I don´t see why the Spy would be inactive purposely since people have already started to suspect those who have not posted anything. The Spy´s job is to blend into the civilian population after all and it´s best done by being at least a bit active. Pretending to be inactive would be a great strategy if there weren´t people who don´t easily vote for the ones not posting. The Spy can be really active too, so how little someone has posted in this thread should not be the only reason to vote them.
shinichi'sapprentice wrote:-he is now being cautious because he still hasn't figured out the identity of his other subordinate
If the Spy really doesn´t know who the other Informant is, then it would be a good option not to kill anyone and try to figure it out today, searching something that fits to the order they in this case probably sent.

This would mean that killing Conan-chandesune was an accident if thought straight. It could be just pretending too, however.

Only other thing that came to mind is the scenario where the Informant is inactive for some reason. However, if it continued for long, I think the Spy wouldn´t care if they killed them off. I don´t think this scenario is very likely though.
shinichi'sapprentice wrote:-he's just being unique because who would have thought the spy will not kill today/can just not kill at all
The Spy we´re against is either just having a bad luck and other troubles or they are extremely sneaky.
shinichi'sapprentice wrote:-he's laughing the evil laugh right now since it's to his advantage that the population of the civilians is gradually decreasing and we're having a hard time now since a list has not been revealed up to now and we don't have anything to compare notes with
If the Spy´s plan is to leave us without any partial list to compare, then killing the informant, who has no list, and then not killing any civilian is a great plan indeed.

Seeing what´s the Spy´s next move is in my opinion important, as in if they continue the no-killing -line or if they do execute someone.
