Detective Conan claims it's fourth-consecutive week in first place and nears 2.5 million admissions and ¥3 billion ($31 million). The film may even spend a fifth week in first since May is one of the weakest times of the year and there aren't any notable releases until May 30th/31st.

Phone Call to a Bar 2 retained 91% of it's predecessor's audience, earning ¥154,666,600 ($1.5 million) and 117,032 admissions over the weekend on 304 screens.

So at least ¥154,666,601 for Conan. Probably a drop around 60-65% I suspect.

BO Mojo numbers are out and here's what we call a close week-end. I don't think I have ever seen such a close week-end in the japanese box office (or in any 'big' - US, Japan, China, UK, France - box office for that matter) :

Half a million yen difference between first and second place, that's only about 5 000$ !!!

The drop was still pretty severe, almost as bad as the estimates made it out to be. Still, the film crossed the 3 billion mark with ¥3,046,356,266 after 23 days which by the way is more than 'Dragon Ball Z Battle of Gods' after 44. It's still tracking slightly ahead of 'The Raven Chaser's ¥3,017,700,364 after 23 days and is about equal to last year's movie's 37 day total which was ¥3,047,290,412. The legs in the upcoming weeks will determine whether it can manage to beat Movie 13's record. It doesn't have much competition until the end of may so it should not struggle in attracting extra moviegoers, how many being the question.

Oh and Detective Conan officially becomes the second animated franchise in japanese history alongside Pokemon to have 5 consecutive movie cross the 3 bilion yen mark.
