Also, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are confirmed for Avengers 2. However, Feige does say that it's only Whedon's first draft so things may change ten months from now when the film begins production.

But i wonder if they dare to use Mark Millar's verison of the characters

@mangaluva: Hai hai.... wakateimassu. Also, i asked you guys whether you would be seeing it or not. Just that. Ginrei also mentioned "Are you done with IM3?" So i replied that those who have seen the movie dont need others to see it to be done with it. My post was defensive/territorial. But not rude. You may have thought it to be. But this is a forum. You dont know how serious i am or in what tone i am speaking. And as i have not used any bad words, the post is not offensive at all. This, again, is only a defensive edit. I was not trying to push the topic along at all. It was what it was, just a question. I know there are going to be discussions once when other people have seen IM3 and i look forward to participating in them.
Also, hope use of the edit button pleased you. I hate being out of anyone's good books. Virtual or Real. Now dont say editing 3 times is spammy. Cuz y'kno I like to speak.

I hope you are joking. If not, then it's kinda pathetic how you think the world revolves around america. I saw it and am done with it NOW.
Aren't you being kind of rude? That post wasn't an egocentric thing, more of a "there's still people waiting to discuss Iron Man 3 so maybe stop trying to force the thread along"? Don't you feel kind of sorry for the poor sods who still haven't had a chance to watch it?

Also, I'm not a mod so I probably have no right to say this, but could you maybe not double-post in short periods quite so much, please? The "edit post" button is there for a reason, and double-posting is really spammy.

Finally saw IM 3 about two days ago.
First thought(s)...
Spoiler: The Mandarin
THE.MANDARIN.IS.SUCH.A.LIE.ALTOGETHER
On second thoughts..
Spoiler:
THE.MANDARIN.IS.STILL.A.LIE
But seriously though, it was fun. So much fun. I had such a blast especially because there were several hilarious stuff happening at crucial moments. It is definitely better than Part 2 and close to being as awesome as Part 1 which is still my favourite.

I dunno why, but i hate Falcon's wings. I loved the art for GOTG. the scale is really something there.

@mangaluva: Hai hai.... wakateimassu. Also, i asked you guys whether you would be seeing it or not. Just that. Ginrei also mentioned "Are YOU done with IM3?" I was not trying to push the topic along at all. It was what it was, just a question. Answer it now, or do it later when you feel that you are done with IM3. Assertion: No force applied here. Reason: There is no change in momentum of the topic. Hence, proved. I know there are going to be discussions once when other people have seen IM3 and i look forward to participating in them.

Edit 1: Also, is it just me, or does Zoe Saldana keeps getting her big hits as Alien movies/roles? First Star trek, then Avatar, now Gamora too. I just hope she portrays "the most dangerous woman in the Galaxy" well. Dave Bautista has also been confirmed as Drax.

Edit 2: Feige on Ant-man: Frankly, now we have to re-write it to put it a little bit more into the [Marvel Cinematic Universe] because it was written before it existed,” Feige said “We’ve talked about various names over the past eight years but as you can imagine they keep changing as time goes by,” says Feige. “But towards the end of this year, we’ll buckle down and start casting and start refining the script, which is great and which is very Edgar. He has done a great job being incredibly true to the comics but is putting his own spin on it, so we’ll be drawing on multiple mythologies for this one.
On Cap2: Feige: “We weren’t going back to World War II. Cap cannot travel in time. So while Tony can go home to Malibu and Thor goes up to Asgard and Hulk can sort of ride the rails, Cap was stuck. So [he] does stay with S.H.I.E.L.D. because he has nowhere else to go, But he’s not necessarily comfortable there. As you might imagine, somebody who’s spent 70 years in ice, frozen, wakes up and has to fight a bunch of aliens with a bunch of weirdos—he is trying to figure out what his life is. Just as he’s given permission to let go of the past and to focus on the modern world… a ghost comes up.

With the greatest generation in World War II, there’s a tendency to reflect on that period and say. ‘Things were black and white back then, and now it’s hard to know who the bad guys are,’” We wanted to play on that a little with Cap being uncomfortable with the way S.H.I.E.L.D., and in particular Nick Fury, operates. Fury certainly rides a line, sort of rides the shadows. He has, I think, lied to every character in every movie, though always for seemingly for the good.”

Edit 3: The video is kinda lame. At least, they should have picked scenes to suit the song. The X-Men soundtrack is my Favorite.

Ghost Rider and Blade are both back with Marvel, but Feige says that they wont make them a part of Phase 3 but instead will spotlight heroes who have not yet got their stand-alone flik.

Okay, saw Iron Man 3 last night (9pm showing, got out at midnight). I say the spoiler policy should stay in effect until the end of Sunday, just to give people a chance to see it without risking spoilers. That said...
Spoiler:
Definitely enjoyed the movie. Much better than the second, not sure how I feel it compares to the first. Absolutely LOVED the after-credits scene. Made the beginning of the movie make sense (when it first started, I really wasn't liking the narrative direction).

However, there's a few things I didn't like about it.

1) Mandarin. What the hell, so he isn't real? Then what about the whole Ten Rings organization in the first movie and the guy who appears to be the Mandarin back then?

2) The way everything concluded. So he just fixes Extremis, cures/stabilizes Pepper, and then gets his heart condition fixed, all in the span of about 40 seconds. Felt like a lazy rush job spliced in at the end to wrap up all the loose ends.

3) The suits. So many of them looked awesome, but we barely get to see any of them for more than 14 seconds. As an offshoot, thank god the ugly ass yellow chested armor (Mark 42) is gone. Good riddance.

Spoiler:
1. I assumed that Killian's think tank has been buidling up to this for a while and making a lot of money trading with terrorists, hence the presence of the Ten Rings in the background of other movies. I guess.

2. I'm still confused at whether "fixing" Pepper meant just "making sure she won't blow up" or "removing all Extremis from her system completely". Because if it's the latter, woman, WHY? You have a superhero boyfriend. You need to kick all the ass you possibly can.
Although apparently it wasn't originally planned to have the ending so rushed, but when they were nearly done filming and RDJ still hadn't negotiated a new contract they decided that they needed to tie up all of Iron Man's stories just in case RDJ never returned to the role and they couldn't find anyone to replace him (frankly, who could?) So if it looks rushed, that's probably because it was...

3. The suits were one of those moments for me of "this is probably meaning so much to the die-hard comic fans right now". I would have liked to have seen more of them, but it was necessary to have them gone for aforementioned end-tying reasons and I can't think where they could have gone in before without spoiling the awesome end battle. There's data about them on the facebook page and website if you really need it.
I want to start hyping about The Dark World, but I'm being distracted by Into Darkness. Something about a tall, dark and handsome English villain in a glass prison attracts me. (Why is it that the only English guy in space is always the villain? Basically all of the officers of the Empire were English too.)

I actually liked the Mandarin of this kind. We have to agree, that while other writers did a great job of dissuading the character from his racist origins
he was created as a VERY racist character (Read the first story in which the Mandarin appears, and i can explain to you, in detail, about how each line rings racism. I'm not pro-china or anything. I sure as hell think they've got problems. This is just to tell you i am NOT biased.) And the guy in the first movie COULD have been Killian from the start. We dont know exactly and the writers made deft use of that. I agree on the Mark 42 score, but i have to say, i loved the Ending.
Also, I am hyping about INTO DARKNESS too.

Spoiler:
I don't really care about how racist the Mandarin was when he was made, and they could have done a better job on him this time. As it is, all three Iron Man movies basically had an American villain pulling the strings of a Middle Eastern terrorist (though maybe the second was Russian... I forget). It would've been nice to mix things up a little.

But god forbid they do anything to make China mad. Then they wouldn't get the free money that China threw at them to film scenes in China, which didn't even make it into any version but the Chinese version, and which apparently is getting mocked by Chinese movie-goers as being bad exclusive scenes.
Also, Into Darkness is Star Trek, right? If so, blech.

True, the chinese scenes are terribad. Shane Black admitted he hadnt directed them. And i agree on the money angle. I would go on a political rant, but you get my point.
If you blech on Star Trek, then i will never forgive you!!! Zettai urusanai.

Not saying Star Trek is bad or anything, just not my cup of tea. Probably along the same reasons I don't like mecha anime.
