As someone who lived through China communism fails (always hungry, poor, corrupt police, JUNE 4th etc etc).  I understand why just the word communism brings bad taste.  It brings some serious bad mojo.

However please realise that we quite depend on many socialist ideas.  Free health care to take care of you if you suddenly get sick and SCHOOL is just two of them.  The government saying "Oh hey steve stop spilling toxic waste on innocent people ktnx" is also against the idea of "free market" but it's not a bad thing is it?
Hey, I have an idea, let's have a THIS SUCKS / NO THIS SUCKS / NO YOU / NO YOU argument for a couple pages, that will really be great. - Ingmar

Also, *samurai, and "hadded" is not a word. The past tense of "have" is "had". In addition, you shouldn't use numeric characters in full sentences. It should be "a few hundred", not "a few 100".

(Let's start with the little things before we try moving on to actually getting you to understand the political history that you're trying and failing to talk about properly.)
are ya so low on idea´s that ya start searching for typing errors ?

People with basic literacy skills?

My opinion on politics tends to be that any ideology in extremity tends to go bad. My granny used to say "everything in moderation", which I think is especially applicable in politics. I like socialized healthcare and education, I'm not for extreme situations like China that include random purges. Basically, I think Kirite's right on the money.

@mangaluva:  Why thank you :) and yes moderation is most important.  Politics usually bring strong feelings in the mix but the fact is the world is NOT black/white.  I also can't stand it when people play politics as a game to win /facepalm.

On a different note-

People who are proud of their country (nationalism):  What the heck are they proud of exactly o_O?  It's not like they DID anything except get born on a section of land...?  Whenever my friends go "I'm so proud to be _____!" I don't really know what to say lol.  To me feeling proud is something I get from actually DOING/CREATING/ACHIEVING something.  Am I the only one who thinks this?

I have mixed feelings on this. One the one hand, I don't think it's a bad thing to be proud of people who have done great things that are from the same country as you, to be proud to have that tangential connection to people who have done amazing things. On the other hand, it'd be best if you were taking them as inspiration to do something great yourself. I dunno, really, you should be proud of all members of the human race who have done something awesome, and aspire to be more like them than all the members who have done something atrocious. Every country has plenty of both, after all.

"He is Christian and I am Buddhist. He is Indian and I am Bhutanese. I like rice and he does not. Is all the same. We all have red blood. We are all human. When people are saying this country or this race is better than other, is silly, because is one nation, and is earth, and is one race, and is human." One of the Buddhist monks I taught English to in India said this when he was talking about a friend from the nearby Catholic monastery, and I think he's more or less summed it up perfectly.

People write out whole numbers? Next you'll tell my people spell "check" with a "q" when referring to money.

Actually, that's patriotism. Nationalism is if you think you're country is superior to others. But while it is kinda illogical (especially if it's about stuff that happened in the past), it isn't any more illogical than being proud of something a family member did, or perhaps even a friend. After all, you didn't really do or achieve anything, they did. Same goes for the country you live in (or were born in). Arguably, in a democracy, you may actually be proud of something your country does/has done during your lifetime, as long as you voted for the party(s) responsible - your vote had a part in getting them into power, after all.
Manga's definitely right, though, take inspiration from all the people who have done awesome things.
