If Tibet tried to fight against China there would be none of them left to enjoy the 'freedom'. :|

with agood tactic is nothing impossible
a wise choice of the area (mountains at the flank for example)
would make the greater number of the enemy worthless
then they need to advance in waves and if ya are good prepared you will take them done one after the other

like for example the battle of watlingstreet the romans there fought with 10.000 men  against a british force of 230.000 warrirors they killed 80.000 the rest fled.  the romans just lose 400 men

or in the american indepence war (i cant remember the name of the battle) but 20 men hide themself with their muskets in trees and killed over 600 british soldiers they hadded none casualties

or Simo Häyhä the best soldier of modern arms
a finnish soldier in 2ww he killed 500 men with a mosin nagant (without a sight)  and another 200 with an MP

Please note that the minor forces overwhelming major forces that you are describing are trained soliders or, in the case of that Finnish sniper, a rare ultimate badass. They are fighting in wars where each side is comprised of trained, funded soldiers. The Tibetans can't throw out China for the same reason that the French couldn't throw out the Germans on their own during WWII; they are an occupied country with no standing army of their own. There have been plenty of Tibetan militias and freedom fighters. Most of them are dead.

You mean the guy who had command of a fully armed army but ended up being handed over for a horrible execution?

You really do have no idea what you're talking about, do you?

william wallace may died but with the rebellion he started scotland became independent from english tyranny
without his victory at Stirling Bridge scotlands people would be slaved by knights like the rest of "normal europe"
at this time

the only half free people in europe at the High Middle Ages where vikings and other celtic  tribes

You mean without Sir Robert the Bruce's victories. As in the guy who won the war. As you would know if you'd actually learned anything about history instead of just watching Braveheart.

in never watched braveheart or any other melgibson movie
from that what i heard all mel gibson movies are historically very inaccurate

Sir Robert the Bruce just could defeated the english because william wallace had weaken them
the english had the best knights of that time

at stirling bridge they lost 40.000men
that was a crushing victory nearly the entire english army was destroyed that day

king eduard I of england had just luck that he could flee

I'm wandering off now on the basis that I'm pretty sure I'm being trolled. I'd also like to believe that nobody would call an entire nation of people pansies for not charging to their deaths... especially, y'know, a predominantly Buddhist nation.

Back on topic: for all my yelling SCOOOOTLAND, I was actually born in Boulder, Colorado. I had an interesting conversation at work today with a lady who was visiting from Colorado and actually used to work in the very hospital that I was born in. Small world indeed!
