Being a Christmas episode some bits were just horribly predictable, but I'm looking forward to how they handle the plot about souffle girl. Wish Moffat could write more original female characters, but at least this one's a bit better...

I'm interested in them actually drawing a link between JLC's two roles and the apparently eternally reincarnating snark, although I'm sad that we're not getting a legit Victorian companion. It would be nice for him to pick up a companion somewhere other than 21st century England. 18th century England isn't that far off, but still, it'd be different.

Best part of the episode: Strax. "Madame Vespa thought you might need some grenades... she might have said 'help'."

I also thought the one-word interrogation scene was clever.

I'm not even going to comment on the cloud... but the new TARDIS interior was pretty. I liked the spinny bits at the top *technical terms yo*

Shame really 'cause I kinda prefer it when they just hint at Eleven being kinda darker and don't outright say it or have him angsting :/. Oh well, for a Christmas ep this one was decent, I guess.
