The older thing is kinda pointless IMO; I become one day older on my birthday, just like on any other day. It just so happens that it is the (n*365.25)th day after my birth, which isn't exactly meaningful.

But after your birthday you start introducing/thinking yourself as a different age. So it is meaningful in some sense.

Although, I've noticed I've accidentally started saying I'm 24 to patients when they ask even though I won't be for another few months :x Oops.

I do it both ways :x. Even when I was 14 I would think I was 12 at times and I actually wrote it down a few times on things we were meant to be filling in :x. Nowadays, it's more that I'll be 16 soon (okay, so it's over a  month still, but you can't blame me with how people are going on about Christmas which is just ten days before it :x) so when people ask how old I am (they always think I'm at least a school year younger than I am :/) I have to stop for a second and figure out that I'm actually 15 :x. This makes it look to others that I don't know my own age *cough*...
