Anybody have a study or something to validate if this is true or not? That sounds really awful and somewhat implausible.
It's the Daily Mail so it's false. Seriously, have you seen the amount of (contradictory) things they claim cause cancer ::)

I'll give you a tip. The majority of British newspapers can *not* be trusted (especially the Daily Mail and the Sun). There's a few relatively unbiased ones out there, but the rest... well :-\.

Russia is 12th place (1996). So it's possible.

In the German wiki they are 4th place (2006) :/

Hmm... then it's possible, but still, I doubt it.

In France, when someone kills someone else and they find 'violent' video games in the killer's house, they blame the video games, I think it's about the same, nobody wants to have the responsibility for causing someone to commit suicide, so they blame the first thing they see...

Not quite sure what your saying here. Alcohol abuse can indeed be detrimental to the mind and cause people to be reckless. It's...actually weird to try and explain since it's sort of one of those things that just is. Alcohol abuse is bad and can cause people to start descending into very dark periods of their lives. That's why there's interventions: to stop people from abusing alcohol.

I'm not quite sure how to word this, actually, since I've never had someone question the fact that alcohol abuse can cause people to not be in the right state of mind. That's why the doctor's would point it out: it very much could have to do with his actions. Alcohol can make you impulsive - it can make you make decisions you otherwise wouldn't even consider, mostly because the consequences become blurred. If he abused alcohol, especially if he was abusing it around the time he saw the death of the character, it would numb his sense of consequence and thus make it easier for him to make the decision to end his life.

If the boy couldn't differentiate between reality and fiction, then he needed help. Anything that he got emotionally invested in could have set him off like that. I can't believe his parents saw that he was like that and didn't get him help.

Also, does anybody have a link to an article on an actual news site? Because one link's to a personal blog and the other is to the Daily Fail, which is the closest think the UK has to Fox News.

Are you sure it was sarcasm, 'cause I can't find a way to read it in a sarcastic voice. Like...an emoticon somewhere would have helped (the smilies I mean).

Sarcasm lesson #1: On the internet sarcasm must be 100% clear. In times of doubt, use "[/sarcasm]" at the end of your post. If not clear it's confusing and/or you be trollin' :x

but your alcohol poisoning explanation was good. Actually, he probably died more so of his alcohol problem than watching Naruto....at least that's what I think now....

there's a large difference between alcohol abuse (what sonoci was talking about) and alcohol poisoning. Alcohol poisoning is when death/injury occurs from the consumption of alcohol itself, not the actions one takes while under the effects of alcohol.

They're now no. 3, I think, behind Belarus and some other country. Russia also has 3x the amount of suicides than the U.S. does.

Spoiler:
Just for people to know. His bff says that Itachi has nothing to do with it, because that guy was familiar with manga so he knew well what happens later. In reality its all due to family reasons.
"Because of Itachi" was invented by media after they lurked his vk (our analog of facebook) profile. He has Sasuke ava and "Itachi Uchiha" is listed as his brother. Just for fun actualy. This is from where it is truly originated
From here

I don´t know if it´s true, but now I feel little bad for the guy.
