..........I take it back, this anime is far from the best anime of the season. I guess the MMORPG aspect got me hyped up.

The romance development is one of the shittiest I've ever seen in any anime, doesn't even feel right. Also, Kirito is a hyping bad character.

The fact that people falling in "love" in a MMORPG is laughable.

Its like one of those hilarious convos in Runescape or WOW, where a guy pays a girl (guy irl) money to be his girlfriend hahahaha.

Well, personally speaking I think the whole concept of falling in "Love" is laughable in general.  But...  The whole Idea of this case is that the game became their reality since they're trapped in there for 2 years and that they're living in there.   Unlike a regular MMO where people are just stupid.

That's a horrible pet peeve of mine when people call any work of literature  "Fan fiction" when it's not, lol.  Which is what I thought you were doing there for a second, lol.

So you think just because they're playing a VR game that they're any more smarter than the people that play Runescape, WOW or any other MMO? Lol.

Kirito is "14" years old lol, back in the days I played RS you won't believe how many kids say the most stupidest thing you can imagine. I went to a F2P world to show my friend something and a bunch of random kids began to follow me saying the most stupidest thing ever, just because I was wearing full Armadyl since I was just training HP. And some of them are probably older than Kirito.

Kirito is only good at SAO because its not a money centered game, any idiot can grind until you max, other games you need to merch and be smart to make big money. Loving a guy that likes to grind is the stupid thing here, but in general, romance in a MMO game is a no no.

yeah, if you just see this situation just as "lol they're in an MMO relationship?? What the hell lol" you must have missed the part where this has literally been their reality for the past two years. That's like saying "wtf why was Kirito so scared of that guy almost killing him? It's just an MMO lol."

Now now I did not forget the death part, I know they'll die when get killed.

And that is exactly the reason, they could die any day so most of the male player including Kirito has this mindset, "I could die any day so I'll just get laid while I have the chance, even though its a game".

That's why its stupid. Because you can't seriously believe players in MMORPG are as Prince Charming as Kirito, impossibru.

Most guys in life are like that, except for the 2% of honest good guys out there.   So by your logic, you're saying most women shouldn't date because all men are pigs and care only about one thing? That your chances are too slim to actually take a gamble?

While my thoughts about Kirito haven't changed much from the first episode, the one I really can't stand is Asuna. She's basically for Kirito. She maxed her cooking skills (because.....she's a girl...?), she cooks for Kirito, she agrees to sleep with him (even though he didn't mean that). She comes to rescue him, but then screws up and she needs him to rescue her.
It just makes it seem like this character has nothing to give besides being Kirito's lover.

Err, not really, what I'm saying is that the creators made it seem like that Kirito is only pretending to like Asuna for the sex, which is true.

I'm guessing you don't know, but 80%+ of the MMORPG players are virgins, and they all want to get laid desperately but can't.

So you see what I mean? Kirito fits all these conditions. MMORPG player, loner, virgin, anti-social etc. He too like 80% of the gamers want to get laid desperately, so he is just using Asuna for sex, since he has nothing else to lose because his life is stuck in a game and he could die any day, and because of the death game reason, he is even more desperate than your average virgin gamer.

Who'd want to die a virgin.

PS 80% is in no way accurate, its just my guess, it could be less but no less than 60-70%, sorry if this offended any gamers out there.

HAHA! I got a great laugh at that, lol.   Not all gamers are virgin-anti-social-loner's, lol!   That's just too funny!

Okay, I think you are being a bit too stereotypical here.

Since when did I say that all gamers are loners? I only said that Kirito is, which is true.

It was in the original print run of the novel though...

Hello there Ignorant Person.  You seem to be unaware that not only do people get married after playing MMOs together quite often, but according to dating websites, it's one of the top activities that people have in common who end up getting together.

Based on your current ignorant statements, I'm guessing it was only a few months ago.

While I do agree with Kor that it sorta seems like Asuna was made for Kirito, I... never got this impression at all.
