Just gonna answer the Haibara point.
Conan's team knows 'cause Haibara told him she keeps an antidote around in case of emergencies. Vermouth knows because of the video with Shiho saving the DB. After all, Haibara can't have predicted the fire would happen and prepared for it that way so she must've had an antidote on her already just in case. It's doubtful she'd change that simply because she'd used an antidote recently so it would be most likely Haibara would have an antidote nearby when she was on the train.

I must say im a bit disappointed by the "plans" in this chapter because they don't really make sense.

First of all, how did anyone know that Ai is going to be carrying some of the antidote while on board??

How does sera in any way fall in this plan? how did they know sera would be boarding the train?

if Conan's team knew that the organization was going to board the train, then why did they let Ai come too? wouldn't it have been safer if she didn't come at all? in fact, the same plan yukiki is planning can be carried out without Ai being in the train at all.


and how did Conan know that vermouth was going to board the train? since the only reason yukiko boarded the train was because conan told her he is going to be facing vermouth.

My guesses:

1) Like Stopwatch said, Ai used the antidote during an emergency in an unfamiliar place. Already knowing Ai's situation, this gave Vermouth reason to believe that Ai kept the antidote on her person. Bourbon may only know that Sherry was seen in the forest.

2) I doubt Vermouth planned on Sera being onboard, but Sera's reaction may have helped Shuichi by falsely confirming his death to Vermouth.

3) It would seem that the intent of letting Ai come onboard was for Yukiko to fool all the Organization, including Vermouth, the only one who knows Ai's true identity, because Ai would be present on the train with "Sherry". But I don't buy that it's Conan's real plan, just an elaborate red herring to distract Vermouth.

4) I think Conan determined Vermouth would be on board because of the mysterious reason she's been keeping quiet about his and Ai's age regression. If Vermouth doesn't want the Organization to know, she would board the train to preserve that secret.

However, Aoyama cleverly withheld until now that Conan knew anything, so it's anybody's guess what he's thinking!

My question: How can Conan safely approach Bourbon without exposing his identity? If things go badly, the Organization may find out he's Kudou Shin'ichi.

I think Kaitou Kid (and Jii) might be on the train in disguise as room D's occupants. I thought they were case culprits because the should have ran into the string, but now they have been cleared of any role they are suspicious. First Conan accused the maid of running awfully quickly like she did sports. Second he got really close to accusing them of not mentioning the string because they didn't want to get involved in the case. Third, when all the suspects fled completely panicked at the fire, room D's occupants remained where they were until Conan told them to get a move on when they should have been terrified of fire because of their pasts like Vermouth said. The thieving duo would know a fake fire when they see one because of the stage tricks.
I don't think Kaitou Kid would have a clue what is going on with the Black Org, but he might chip in a smoke bomb at the end or something like that if he sees suspicious people with guns and make some mayhem to allow Conan and crew to escape. I hope he doesn't save the day completely though. That might be annoying.

Agree with the bold, though. I do like Kaito, but him being involved here would be ridiculous.

Though, it could be kinda funny if Conan was all "I know you're KID and as much as I'd like to catch you, I need a smoke bomb. Lend me one and I won't say anything on you being here, kk?"

I don't mind Kid being involved in a B.O. case. Would give it something new.
Hey, if we're repeating the disguises schtick, let's go all out and even include the master of disguises kaito Kid.

WAIT! Now that I think about it, Kaito is probably supposed to recognize both Yukiko and Vermouth (we know at least that he has met Yukiko in the past)

Dunno how I'd feel, though, if Kaito Kid got a prominent role in the plot and would eventually be in the final showdown.

Edit: Kaitou Kid might save Yukiko's big mouth here. Vermouth is going to wonder who the special guest is and if she realizes Kaitou Kid was on the scene, she might think Yukiko had meant him. Chances are Kaitou Kid is off-limits for Vermouth because of his dad, so even if Vermouth thinks he is cooperating with Conan's crew, she can't tell anyone and wouldn't want to anyway. (I think Vermouth would somehow know Kuroba Toichi was Kid, supposing she remained his student 18 years ago)

I've been pretty fearful since the mention in the first part that Kid would make an appearance in this case. If he and Jii are both here, that means we've officially assembled the greatest convention of disguisers in the history of disguising. If it's done well, then I guess that'll just be how it is, but I think there's a better story to be told than muddling it with Kid's involvement when this is meant to be a major Black Org showdown.

I think if we could just get a sort of drive-by with Kid it would be alright.  As long as he doesn't get involved in the main plot, we're good.  He has his own big bad guy to get rid of, leave the BO to Conan and crew.

It just occurred to me, but could it be Yukiko that was inn the kudo residence with okiya?
She could have been the okiya with the toothbrush, couldn't she?
