You're doing this on purpose to me aren't you.
That would be my educated guess.

'Kay so.
In my opinion.
I do not think he's that evil.
He's just misunderstood.
Okay? 'Kay.

Well, personally, by this movie, I think he's kinda evil. He did get an awful lot of people killed. I think I found how absolutely broken in the head he was creepier than most of his actions on their own, though.
Spoiler:
I love Thor's huge NOM face in that pic XD well, he IS an Asgardian... they eat big XD He's probably eating more than anyone else there. Though I dunno, Cap and Banner probably eat a lot too, since Cap runs a high metabolism and it takes a lot of energy for Banner to transform and keep running as powerful as the Hulk does.
Also, is anybody up for dropping the spoiler boxes soon, or is there anyone on here who still hasn't seen it?

He's not misunderstood, and he's not evil.  He's the God of Mischief.  He's literally the king of trolls.  It's all for the lols with him.
Spoiler:
As for the eating scene, Cap didn't even eat.  He looked like he was trying not to fall asleep.  Thor didn't eat until the end, when he crams the burger in his mouth.  Tony looked to just be munching on cheese fries or something.  Banner's the only one who was scarfing that stuff down like he hadn't eaten in days.

Manga: should just drop the spoiler boxed and put "avengers spoilers" or something in the topic title

I think everyone currently using this thread has seen the movie by now, so we can probably drop spoilers. If you disagree, let me know and I'll edit this post because the paragraph below contains a bit of a spoiler.

TvTropes does list "Troll" as Loki's default state of being... that said, this portrayal of Loki is far more sympathetic than the mythology, with daddy issues and big brother complexes all over the shop. The worm-hole-induced crazy (and possibly deliberately induced crazy from Thanos...) can't have helped.

Interesting point, Robert Downey Jr apparently mentioned in an interview that Tony Stark has a bit of a big brother complex towards Captain America, because his dad "never shut up about him". Tony partially thinks of Steve as a big brother he can never measure up to- something that was explicitly compared to Loki's feelings towards Thor.

Some people need to understand humour, and also, where their prority lies, because y'know, if you can take seriously what a demi-god from a marvel film said, you need to change your career, and fast!

for the scene: I read or watch? I don't remember exactly, but in interviews they said that Chris H had to eat a pita in every take, and he was starting to feel sick when they got the 'right one', Chris E had a prostethics (err not sure about the word) because he had grown his beard, so he had to hide himself ^^

... Seriously? >_>

A) It was funny.
B) He's not a bad guy because he was adopted. He's a bad guy because he is batshit insane, and a contributing factor to that was not so much finding out that he was adopted as finding out that he's not even the species that he thought he was, but rather "the monster that mother scare their children with in stories!" Even so, that was something he probably could have come to deal with if he'd stayed at home with the parents and brother who love him dearly regardless, rather than falling through a blackhole, possibly seeing the end of the universe, and hanging out with the dude who wants to kill everything living because he is batshit insane.

...in short, please get a grip and a sense of humour.

They do need to get a sense of humor. Like, I mean, my sister is adopted but she would probably laugh at it... and in truth, when I went to the movies, it was one of the scenes in which the audience laughed the most. >.>

Also, just figured out some great news: Mark Ruffalo has signed onto 9 more movies with Marvel! :D

Nine movies? Yes. Yes. YES.

Clearly, Marvel plans to dominate my movie schedule for the next four or five years. I have absolutely no problem with this.
