one thing I noticed though: doesn't Sera pretty much just make Haibara suck? I guess Ai has teh child thing going for her, but that's as much a detriment as it is an advantage. Also seems a bit odd to keep follow in if interrogation's going out the window.

I don't really see how, not like she's being crippled or anything, just adding someone else with her action

I could see that if Follow was all Sera had, but she has Follow and Investigate 2, so she seems pretty strictly better imo

And black manual is the extra 2 abilities that the BO can choose to have in the BS but they can only use one of them. It's basically stuff that they might not do without if that certain BO wasn't in (like slander, detect, blame, etc)

Basically, this.

Sera: Inv 2 (night action, info-gathering ability, plus if she's tricked, she'll know it) + Follow (more info-gathering, easy to narrow down BO, basically has opportunity to find BO twice as fast)
Haibs: Follow (day action, won't know if tricked at night, can find BO, but that's it)

Follow itself is powerful, add investigate to that and Sera could be a one-person BO-finding machine. So yeah, she makes Haibs look bad.
