Another Blackmail clarification: If HS is redirected to someone without crimes, the officer will not incur the normal penalties for a failed house search. If HS is redirected to someone with crimes, it will go through and the arrest will happen.
So Yamamura being lovers with Shiratori (or a similar combination) will result in unlimited HSes! Yay.
Are we sure we want this?
About Blackmail... why give it to Anokata. I think we was already okay with just blame and all the other powers he has. Especially considering how hard he is to be found by the town.
Wouldn't it make more sense to put it on a weaker BO? Pisco or Tequilla come to mind here.
@First question: No, each type of action can only be redirected once so you'd get maybe the equivalent of a no crimes result for CE and a HS out of it if the first is wrong...
@Second: I'll answer in the morning provided no one else beats me to it

I don't mean blackmail in particular, I was more worried about Yamamuras confuse. With confuse he can make his lover (Shiratori/Megure) change the target for HS, and the lover will not lose house search when the new target proves to be innocent. Next night they will repeat the process - likely on another target. Considering that lovers can be hard to kill those two might dominate a game once they found some allies. Each BO will commit crimes at some point the later the game gets, this combination will confirm a townie or a BO without any further help required.

Actually, it's been said in MM that Anokata's blame is pretty weak. Not much use comes of it usually. And the boss should be way more badass than that. Most people dread getting him because he's not much use when it comes to actually doing something. Particularly in FM where there's more people and someone finding whatever you blamed is really low. So pofa added blackmail to counteract that.

Well, you're supposed to infiltrate and contact the town with anokata. So no wonder people thought they can't do anything XD
Well, I don't mind blackmail for Anokata or giving it to someone else.
@schillok: what solution are you suggesting for confuse? Because if HS get's the penalty, Vermy-Yamamura or just a (un)lucky Yamamura could remove HS from the game :V

@BK2: I wouldn't be surprised if you really did end up being BO if/when we allied. ^^;
About the Yamamura/HSer Cop lover thing: I don't think it'll ever happen. :x
Actually, I have yet to be in a game with either Sonoko or Yumi. So the possibility of that particular lover combination is (as far as I see it) very, very low.
@Kleene: I never said Schillok's note wasn't valid, just that there was a very low possibility for the situation he used as an example.
It's impossible to cover up every little grey area in a set of rules without making them overly complex. From what I gathered, most people wanted the rules to be simpler. But eh, what would I know? :x
I suppose it could be solved with HS not being able to be confused. ^^;

I think Schillok's note is valid. Because that couldn't just happen in case there are lovers.
But once Yamamura allies a HSer, they could exploit that.
I would remove HS from being able to be confused. And Blackmail can stand as it is, since it can only be used once.
