I tried doing most of the tips given in this thread (thank YOU!) but when I was doing the background, I wasn't aware of what I was doing *sleepy* So tadaa~ I think I pressed it too hard doing those strokes on the background, now I can't erase it properly. Though I like this eraser I bought today \o/ It can actually erase now \o/ Tried doing the shiny thingy on Photoshop here. And I think I like it! But I got scared, once again, to continue adding some shades and erasing some spots that needs to be erased because my mind keeps on telling me that it might make it worse. So I hope I'll kill this fear one day, and a long nap would be great too

ps, doesn't the picture looks weird? I keep on looking at how awkward that there's only a cloud, with one star I guess I got lazy as well, but yay to the new eraser that can erase now! ~:D~

Hey the background gives a really good melancolic or nostalgic sensation! I like the light surrounding the girl

Regarding the rubber matter: if it gets too much pencil on it you can either "erase" on a clean sheet of paper to make it disappear and continue erasing, or you can also cut it perpendicularily (does this word even exist? xD) with a cutter and you´ll have 8 nice sharp angles to make the shiny lines, for example, for hair or to erase very small areas.
Finally, do not fear erasing, if you erase too much it doesn´t matter, reshade it; and if you see you´ve shaded too strong, erase most of it and begin anew.
