The boss is obviously Yumi's ex-boyfriend, I don't even know why you guys are still arguing.

boss is  yumi's ex-boyfriend ?? is that the reason why boss likes vermouth?? or has kept his identity in secret??
and planning to revive their unborn child so they could reunite and leave a happy life?

So for those that are in the know, (as this is a lot of information and I probably don't know half of it...), do we know the Boss is definitely in the Tokyo area? That would narrow it a good bit.

I have an opinion on us maybe having seen the Boss, but no proof. And the Boss is the Boss. I do not believe they have regional directors like that. Nor Do I believe the Boss just stays in one spot. There is a good chance they might not even be in Japan at the moment. Again all theory, no way yet to prove any of this. And to head something off right now. I know someone in the states that has a cell phone they got in one state, but then they moved and are now in another state, yet they still have the same cell number. Just pointing out that while the Cell number of the Boss seems to be the Seven Children song, that might only mean at one time they were in that area, that does not mean they are there now.

I'm not saying they have to be in one place all the time, but generally you would think they would have a base of operations, right? I saw mention in one of the posts that Chekov did about how this or that person couldn't be it because they had to know this thing that happened spur of the moment, (I think it was an order directly to Gin or something?), and one of the people in the list wasn't in the area to know such a fact. We might be able to narrow it down just based on location.

The problem is while there are several points in the manga where we know at a specific time the boss can't be in a particular location, there are no places where it is known at a specific time where the boss is. It would be kind of like trying to find someone in New York City when all you know that person is not closer than 20 feet to you. The general lack of known boss involvement also means that there isn't a lot of info to work from.
Although this probably isn't the answer you want, I can absolutely guarantee that it is completely impossible to figure out who the boss is right now. Maybe you could guess, but it doesn't count without proof. There simply isn't enough info to work from, even if you have been through the manga five times and made pages and pages of notes about who appeared when under what circumstances. The best you can do right now is come up with some theories about certain characteristics of the boss that might eventually prove useful in eliminating potential suspects down the line.

So Chekhov, let me ask a question Why do we need a Vermouth to tell us the BOSS ok's this or that? Is It possible Gin does not know how to use a cell? If he can not, what about Kir who I believe we seen with one or Vodka? Why does Gin require Vermouth To tell him things from the Boss? Is vermouth the only person with the Boss phone number?

Gin didn't know about the plan because it was kept secret by Vermouth and Bourbon (the boss left it up to them to decide who to tell). Gin asked Vermouth if the plan had approval because she was convenient. There is no reason for Vermouth to lie about this after all. Why would she defend Akai (who she tried to shoot, and received several broken ribs for her trouble)? Gin could contact the boss by phone, but that will take more time for him to send the message and wait for a reply then to ask one of the plan creators who is sitting on a bike next to him.

Are you still on the Bourbon is a fake to prove Kir theory?

If my new theory has any water, then no. My current idea of Bourbon is An FBi / CIA Mole in the Bo and the Code word Bourbon is more for the CIA / FBI code word. We know Kir is Cia, but she must have a way to tell what she knows right under the BO nose. That requires a contract, And I think that Bourbon is that contact. I find it funny that Vermouth called Bourbon. Remember Vermouth already has divided loyalties, and that she knows and hinted to Kir then she knows Kir is CIA . Kir appears to still be alive so we know Vermouth has told no one about Kir. So you see we got these two characters with similar goals. That Kir is still alive means also that Kir has no choice but to trust Vermouth. I think these two ladies had an as of yet unknown proven talk, And there is a good chance that Kir introduced Bourbon to Vermouth. And yes we got the message " an new Bo is on the move", But I still think that between the lines Kir told Jodie that she was sending Help for Conan. That might be a reason that Conan saw no reason not to let Okiya in to the house. He is indeed Bourbon, but unlike the where we were suppose to think that Bourbon is Bad news for Conan when in reality Bourbon is Good news and Protection for Haibara is now right next door. That Vermouth was talking to Bourbon instead of Gin, means to me that Bourbon being "BAD" was a nice red herring Gosho tossed our way. It to me also explains how the BO could still keep its secret for a possible traitor and still know about Bourbon. It to me, this new idea wraps thing up and answers question I had. And yes, I still think that Scar is Akai.

I don't see how vermouth could have possibly had any kind of talk with Kir, considering she is under 24 hour supervision from the BO, which Gin is closely tied too. Basically I just don't see Gin letting a conversation like that happening. Also maybe I just read it wrong, but i thought bourbon had been around for years, (because he seems to have a rivalry with Gin) and they only just recently activated him to start working on the sherry case.

as for the boss, what if it ended up being Shinichi's dad. While he hasn't done anything to make you think he could be evil, he does fulfill every other qualification for being the BO boss. For one he for all intents and purposes has the mobility to be anywhere in the world at any time. He has proven to be very smart to the point that he beats Shinichi to his deduction nearly every time he appears. The fact that his character Night Barron is used as the name of the computer virus that has ties to BO may not be a coincidence. It would certainly surprise Ai, and plays into the line where Shinichi is a part of the BO's half a century plan. Yukiko may not be involved, but it does seem she was an acquaintance of vermouth in New York.  It's a stretch, but I don't think it is completely impossible.

To explain how it could have happened, there is a short time between killing(?) Akai and returning to HQ. It might be during this time the talk could have happened. As for the Bug, well she changed clothes and left it behind.
