while it's true that the game had some bugs pre-patch, they were largely cosmetic things that didn't have all that much of an impact on the game. While some have experienced crashes, I haven't experienced any (aside from the one on shutdown after the patch), and all I've had are a few quests not being cleaned up from my log after completion. The only really huge inexcusable bug I'd say they released pre-patch would be the save issue, tbh, along with whatever may be causing the amounts of crashes for other people.

even WoW, being such a money-making game by a large company has its share of bugs that come out. They've even had bugs which were reported by players on the Test Realms which they didn't bother to fix before pushing the patch out. I mean, if you look at the Skyrim forums the bugs people are reporting aren't even consistent, so it's possible that Bethesda just straight wasn't able to reproduce some of the bugs in whatever testing they have until they had actual player data. The really inexcusable things would be the ones they knew about for a fact beforehand, like the save size bug.

honestly though, I wouldn't care that much if I managed to turn off auto-updating on steam before I got home from work :P

edit: found some 1.1.21 files on the steam forums, replaced my old files with those, seem to work. So huzzah for now.

Just realised how much I love the main theme :o How could I miss that? D: Oh well, I know it now <3
Spoiler: Dark Brotherhood
I hope I'll get to kill the emperor, would be awesome ;D
Also, fun how completely ignorant people can be. Someone is shot and dies and the NPC is blocking the only exit, woman with a drawn bow is looting the corpse and leaving a piece of cheese on it (many murder victims like that lately btw :P). And then the NPC asks if she saw anything... :|

(Yes, I leave cheese on my victims bodies, used to be forks but since that isn't possible in Skyrim.. D: )

So, been playing this game for a little while--must say it's quite good. :)

I haven't been playing all that much recently, as I've beaten the main quest + companions + mage guild + most of the thieves' guild, but I started a new game on Master difficulty, being solely a sneaky bow-using Orc, and maaaan it's hard. Fighting a bandit can take me down to half health. :(

Why Master difficulty?  Why not one level lower :/  If it's too frustrating/annoying to play on that difficulty, I usually just say screw it.

And yeah, the MGS HD collection has been taking a chunk of my time out of skyrim.  I haven't completed jack, but I'm lvl 29.

I am at level 25 and I haven't even started the main quest yet ::) Too busy doing other stuff. But iirc all skills you get better in make you gain levels and I do potions like a crazy person, I buy every ingredient in stores and steal ingredients from people too :-X

Also, speaking of taking arrows to the knees. I took one yesterday but I am still an adventurer :o

I just did the Graybeard's first part (which I think is like the first step after the initial tutorial zone), so just got whirlwind run and Ro Dah, and I'm like level 34 or 36.  I'm about to upgrade from Conjured bow to Daedric bow.  Just need 9 more points in enchanting to cap that and then dual enchant stuff.

I picked this up again. As a stealth character, and being lvl 32, fighting 1 on 1 is freaking hard.  I'm only playing on Adept, but damn dude...I once fought like 3 polar bears with me and an npc on a quest, I ate like millions of cheese wheels.

Still, nowhere close to being done with this game.

Also, I think the PS3 bug still hasn't been fixed.  It's becoming quite apparent that Bethesda noticed the glitch, couldn't fix it, and was just like 'Eff it Let's do it live!!!" and shipped the game.

They still suck at QA.

So I've slowly been playing this game. Yeah, GOTY, Oblivion except with less problems. Awesome. I just do a little bit of almost everything slowly and get distracted by 5+ sidequests before doing one objective in a main quest. I try way too hard to do everything in these games because I'm certain I'm never gonna play an Elder Scrolls game a second time (I'm only ever gonna replay Mass Effect (in like 10 years) because it's short compared to Elder Scrolls' Animal Crossing length and has cool differences in later games depending on choices you make apparently)

I have Skyrim, Xenoblade, Mass Effect sequels to play this year. I love these incredibly long games but I just have a feeling I'm not gonna want to play any huge console RPGs next year.

I am always alone, too afraid to accidentally hit someone. Best fight so far: Two dragons and a frost troll :| And I am an archer/magician and I do like to sneak.

Oh, me too! :D

I keep getting distracted with side-quests, and it was only yesterday I finally managed myself to focus on the main plot long enough to kill the first dragon...Image
