Honestly, I probably will buy it.  Next year.  When it's in the $5 bin on Black Friday.

I may need some slight changes to my signature.

This isn't over yet though, this game needs to sell.

Happy for the Wii owners, how un-Nintendo like though to see them actually address this

It's likely GameStop seeing the sale potential and doing a joint-venture with Nintendo to get it over here, hence the exclusivity.

pretty much what I expected (and GinRei pointed out), but I like

Apparently pre-orders for Xenoblade Chronicles are not doing as well as Nintendo had expected.

that news story is likely bs as it's the same one that's been around since like 2 days after pre-orders started

Maybe, and this is just me speaking, but...

1) Nintendo hasn't opened their pre-orders yet.
2) Some may be waiting and hoping for the LE to be available to pre-order.
3) The game is still five months away, and there isn't even a mock cover art for it yet.
4) There is absolutely no exposure or advertising outside of what Operation Rainfall has done.

Both 1 and 3 are the keys for me.  Does Nintendo charge shipping?  Do they charge tax?  These are important factors.

It's really good to see Nintendo do such a 180 on their dumb decisions the last couple of years. They're finally starting to get it but without completely turning into a carbon copy of their competition. It's quite awesome. I really like their increased openness and use of online video to help games and even 3rd parties. It's really good to see and I hope we can now avoid the dissappointing sales every good 3rd party game has had the last few years.

don't worry, you would have just ignored the good 3rd party games and then complain it doesn't have any good 3rd party games just like everyone else ever :(
