PREP PHASE ENDS
Once the manager checked in with the people at the front desk, confirming the arrival of the remaining guests, he retreated to his office.
Upon doing so, he shrugged his black suit onto a chair adjoining a simple coffee table. Then he loosened his tie. And then he himself slumped down onto the chair. This was routine, ever since that happened.
"It's been a month since the news, and ever since then, whatever I try to do will do zilch to the situation." He sighed for the 500th time (in private, of course. Managers aren't allowed to show their true feelings during the work day), then stood up and walked over to the cabinet to the left of the table. From the cabinet he provided a jug of sake and a small sake cup, and brought both over to the table. "I do hope this event will turn things around, cause this is my final gambit..."
"Anyways, here's to another terrible day," he toasted to himself, and began to drink.
He drank some. And some more. And eventually knocked himself out.
Of course, being knocked out, he didn't notice the door opening just a slight. And he didn't notice his master key in his pocket being stolen...
