Hi Everyone!

Post by Supernatural Delight »

Hi I'm new here as much as I hate being new. I actually really shouldn't have signed up because I don't have the time BUT you all seemed like very awesome people & there were some fun topics & well I didn't want to feel left out!
Alright please don't murder me for saying this & I know everyone here should know about a million different ways to murder somebody but I actually extremely was against watching anime for particular reasons but I have friends who would seriously tie me to a chair & force me to watch some. Well they didn't go that far but if I refused any further then they would have! I know them well & my friend who got me into Detective Conan seriously would have done it. Anyways I did have some likes thanks to past friends like a friend of mine got me into Hihi Puffy Ami Yumi back when I was in 5th grade but then I just all together stopped watching it. Then in high school another friend kept telling me I need to watch Ghost Hunt because of my odd obsession with ghosts so I did & I loved it but got disappointed when I reached the end. Then here it comes how I got into Detective Conan. I was hosting a movie sleepover party & invited some close friends. I put a bunch of movies into a pillow case & had people pull out a movie then we'd watch it. One of the movies was The Great Mouse Detective & throughout the whole thing my friend who got me into the show could not stop thinking about DC & when it was over she was like, "I know you don't like anime but this whole movie had me thinking of a show that I must show you." Then she had me bring down my laptop. She knew that I could not watch subs because I have problems with reading. I'm an extremely slow reader that & I can't wear my reading glasses while watching anything because it hurts my eyes but she doesn't really like the dub & after watching through Detective Conan then watching Case Closed I was like wow now I understand. Anyways it was hard for her to show me it but we worked it out & I got to watch then & well I fell in love with it. Sorry for the long story but if you didn't fall asleep yet then that's a good thing! For me. If your still awake I do feel a little sorry for you.
As for my favorite movies of course the 14th movie is my top favorite! I loved the 10th movie & well I'm not exactly sure why I loved the 10th one so much. I remember my friend on Skype asked me what I wanted for my 20th birthday a while back & I said that I wanted the 10th DC movie on DVD. I told him I didn't care if he got a hold of it illegally as long as he didn't tell me but I want the 10th movie on DVD for my birthday. That was before I watched the 14th but if I could change the request I would change it for the 14th. It's too late now. He already sent it to me.
Well as you would know if you actually suffered through & read everything that I am 20 years old. Graduated from high school at the age of 19 & sometimes can really relate to Conan. Of course my case is way different from his but I was held back in second grade & already I was born in September making me almost 2 years older then some of the students in the same grade as me. I never liked the thought of people being younger then was actually in a higher grade then me. I was like darn it! This is payment from those years of preschool & kindergarten when I use to be like HAHA! I'm the oldest! I'm the first one in the class to get a birthday balloon of the year! Yeah those days were great but after being held back I felt downgraded. As if I really did shrink. Even though it was a year's difference people knowing what grade I was in treated me like that age & my biggest enemy from daycare... oh I hated her! Before she came in I was the oldest! I was still the oldest when she came in but I was only older then her by a couple months putting her a grade ahead of me & boy did she enjoy treating me like I was one of the little kids at the daycare. She always talked about her crush & would be like oh you'll understand boys better when you were older! Yeah she was pure evil. So yeah I didn't have it like Conan does but I could seriously relate to him & that was probably one thing that got me pulled into the series.
Alright sorry my introductions are always long! This is short compared to my usual introductions & I'm going to try my best to not go on too long rambling about my life problems that nobody cares about (I say this in a goofy tone) so lets get into some basic facts about me. Not that anyone besides maybe a stalker would care about but hey who doesn't like talking about themselves?
I live in the great pacific northwest in the US not to get too specific. As my world languages teacher told me to do when I was in 6th grade, if your trying to tell someone where you live & you say Oregon & they respond where's that? You just tell them it's right above California & they will know. Yep living in the not so special state right above the state that everyone knows about. Just wonderful! LOL! Not! Oh I'm not complaining or anything I'm just goofy because it's 3:30am & I have been up sipping tea while doing a bunch of random things.
Lets see I think I covered everything. Well I haven't said what music I listen to but very few people would even care. Grew up on my mom's music so pretty much oldies. Got my username from the song Dancing In The Moonlight. Oh wait my name! Well that's kind of important now isn't it? It's Abby.
Sorry it was so long but I have a hard time focusing on one topic at a time & I get all mixed up. I'm easily distracted. Like seriously easily distracted & I end up just rambling on & it's just a good idea when I do that for someone to give me a gentle reminder to stay on topic. When actually talking to friends I need the to shout ABBY because I can sometimes become a poor listener unless the conversation has to do with Coke. If you mention Coke which is my all time favorite drink then you automatically have my attention. Sorry again I'm probably sliding off topic which is weird because this is just me introducing myself & you'd think I can at least stay on topic for that! Huh come to think of it I'm not exactly in the correct state of mind to even be on the internet because I might do something crazy. Oh well. Crazy is a good thing.
Before I finish one thing, if you actually read through all of this you might be wondering about it. How on earth was I able to watch Detective Conan when I have a problem with reading subtitles? Well let me tell you I didn't like the idea at first but after watching through Case Closed & being sad that I couldn't go further it took a lot of convincing & I mean a lot but I decided to watch the next episode which actually to me I found to be boring but I loved the ending. I watched part 1 & decided to not move on but I was like I must. I was too drawn to it & well it resulted in me staying up until about 4am every single night watching the show for the next three months. Yep actually took me three months & I barely went outside & did much the entire summer. Really all I did was watch Detective Conan. That's how slow I am at reading. I have found when I've already seen it though when watching it a second time it goes way faster. The second time I watched the 14th movie I didn't have to pause at all to read the subtitles. I actually felt proud of that even though it's kind of a lame thing to feel proud of. Oh dear this has gotten way to long! Sorry! I talk way to much!

To go through the whole thing for those who really don't want to read through everything, I'm Abby, I live in Oregon which is right above California, I'm 20 years old, held back a grade, likes old music, & favorite DC movie is the 14th one. It wasn't quite in that order but whatever! Oh I never said who my favorite character is! It's a tie between Kid & Heiji although I might lean a little more towards Kid because he is so awesome!

I read through the whole thing only to find out that there is a synopsis at the end? Grumpf!
Should I still welcome you? Do you like raccoons? Or beer?

Oh um sorry about that to people who actually read the whole thing. Ha yeah I don't mind if you skim through. I like raccoons they are cute but I'm only 20. Too young to drink. Anyways I can't stand the taste of beer. My dad let me try it & yeah I'm not going further then that. Also Coke where?

I'm sure most people know that Oregon is the state right above California but it's like everyone knows about California while Oregon is known for some boring qualities such as the Oregon Trail. Yeah living in Oregon is like having a famous sister. Everyone knows who she is but have they ever heard of you? Most likely not.

One thing I do want to say is a awesome new show on NBC called Grimm was filmed right here in Oregon. Not only was it filmed in the same state I live in but the same city as well! I hope that draws more attention to us. I love the show Grimm. It's odd though. I was also into a show called Reaper although after 2 seasons it died but it was still an extremely awesome show.
