I know. Not only Conan-Ai fans bash, Shinichi-Ran fans do too. It's just so tiring, 'cause there's really no SOLID basis that anything is better than something in terms of "how much they compliment each other's traits" or "how sweet they are together", etc. It's measuring love. I guess its just matter of taste really. The people who like lovey dovey, usual anime romance, love nection kinda stuff usually like ranXshinichi and those who like cool, cute, funny, baddass couples like conanXai shin/shiho.

There could be dozens of pros and cons about both couples that go back and forth so their is no real way to tell whose better.

I'm sure this has been gone over a million times, but since it is a pet peeve of mine: TRANSLATION ERROR.  What Shinichi actually said was something to the effect of he's got a huge bruise there because of the many times his experiments/inventions have exploded and knocked him on his butt.
