This is a bad anime. Kinda.

As a rule for any series, don't create flashback characters and story that are 10 times more relatable and fun than the main characters and story. Depression isn't the same as emotionally attached. I think that sums up the series pretty well.


Episode 9 continued the trend of episode 8 by actually being ok. Again, even as a stand alone series, this part would not be as good as most anime I watch. But I wouldn't be angry at it. But those wings irk me. Like Final Fantasy sprites, I can't explain why it irks me. It just does.

I saw the final two episodes of Evangelion without dying (of laughter) so this should not be a huge problem.

speaking of hilarious endings though, lol episode 9's ending. Still better than the rest of the series.

I honestly don't understand why people hold this series in such high regard. I even looked up the "sybolism" incase that was the amazing part and I'd just missed it, but nope. I'd figured it out on my own. The last episode of two (can't quite remember) was sad, sure, but the series didn't make me attached to the characters enough to cry or anything.

I think it's just because most anime don't have depressing endings. So even if most of that anime was rather mediocre the ending made up for it somewhat. I still don't think the anime is great or anything, but it was pretty good. I think the girls all look a little derpy... Some of the expressions they make remind of of the retard emoticon.

btw.. the soundtrack is very nice.. i really love it
